Questions & Mysteries Is Yamato Oden?

In the last chapter we get an introduction to the "son of Kaido" Yamato. Yet there are at least 3 strong hints that he somewhat could be Oden.

And on the top of these 3 proofs his height too seems to match. Oden should be 382 cm (from the wiki) and when he is carrying Luffy that seems to match.

What doesn't match are his hairs along with the horns but that could be all part of the mask. Also the whole thing that Oden is acting like the son of Kaido (amnesia, sent ahead to the future by Toki?). Worst case the son of Kaido is a fan of Oden but that sounds a bit weird.

I agree it would make almost no sense but so made Momo sailing on Roger ship before the time travel was introduced. The point is this Yamato has the back ribbon and shackles just like Oden and those are 2 huge details Oda put in for a reason (along with other small hints). Otherwise why should Oda give Yamato those items just like Oden?

No way in hell .....he might have some connections with Oden, maybe someone said him about Oden's tales so maybe he decided to kinda "imitate" him by wearing similar clothes and trying to escape from Wano but never succeed for some reason. About why he have shackles obviously is related to Kaido's announcement, maybe Kaido wants Yamato to do something which he don't want to so Kaido locked him to make sure he was not going to escape....Kaido wants Infos from the scabbards about Laugh Tale if Yamato was Oden Kaido had the direct source of informations

Short answer - no.

Long answer - no, and the only reason we’re even CONSIDERING the possibility is that Oda has lost all notions of subtlety, nuance, and consistency in his work.

The only reason we see OP characters in masks is because they’re people we already know in some other capacity (the carpenters of Galley La being members of CP-9) or because they RESEMBLE a pre-existing character and showing their face right away would dispel any dramatic tension (remember hearing people thought Duval was anyone from Morgan to Krieg until it just ended up being a copy of Sanji’s stupid bounty poster).

I think we can safely assume that Yamato has not been seen in the series beforehand since we didn’t know about him until five chapters ago and he’s implied to have been under some type of bondage with the broken chains and cuffs. Therefore, I think he either LOOKS like Kaido, or Big Mom, or some combination of them (maybe even like Katakuri). Either way, he’s not Oden. Even for an author who brings almost EVERYBODY back from the brink of death, this would be a cop out of the highest degree.

The cover story is strongly pushing this theory but NO. He couldn’t and he certainly shouldn’t be Oden but he can be the second coming of him like Luffy is to Roger..!!:cheers:
