Jack and king are both the brutal silent badass type hiding their true identity
The most interesting thing about king is him being a lunarian. The most interesting thing he did was fight zoro
Jack raided zou fighting the dukes for 5 days straight refusing to listen to the mink till he got the answer he wanted. To then gas them all leaving them for dead to try and get doffy
He attacked marines ships that not only had a admiral but former fleet admiral sengoku and tsuru. He might have failed but still badass of him
He went back to zou and tried to kil zunisha only to get unlucky with momo being there. Tho he still survived an attack from zunisha
In act 1 of wano while he didn't do anything crazy he just seemed a lot more interesting of a character than before at least imo
During onigashima he was the only all star to go back up kaido on the roof. With his squad taking down all the sulong minks besides the dukes. And he still later got back up and almost defeated inuarashi before he went sulong
Even tho most of the cool things he did happened pre wano it was still cool

Inu and Neko + their respective minks also couldn't put Jack down for 5 days even though they both had 12 hours to rest each time they fought, Jack didn't.
It's just funny how a lot of people are willing to overlook what Jack has actually done & accomplished just to shit on his character.
Truth of the matter is, Jack has a better showing than King & Queen, his endurance is better than King & Queen, his loyalty to Kaido is better than King & Queen.
If you look at his record it's also better than King & Queen.
Minks + Inu & Neko on Zou = Win
Fujitora, Sengoku & Tsuru = Lose
Zuneshia = Lose
Ashura = Draw
Sulong Mink Army = Win
Sulong Inu & Neko = Lose
Round 2 vs Minks ( on his way to the scabbards ) = Win

It's funny how Jack only losses were against an enormous elephant & because he fought an army of Minks right before he fought the Dukes.
Ultimately Jack, Smoothie, even King & Queen got screwed by Odas writing.
