Jujutsu Kaisen 237 SPOILERS

Sukuna did indeed have one life insurance (single use and very specific to the circumstances) and saved many things, but he didn't rely on Mahoraga because he's a masochist, he went with that strategy as a gambit, meaning that sure, he had other strategies he could have gone with, but he considered his chances with Mahoraga were worth it: nothing implies his other options would have allowed him to just easily and surely win the fight. Whatever the strategy, he would have to take risks. Gojo admitted inferiority, but still thought it possible he could maybe win against Sukuna without Ten Shadows.
You are contradicting yourself here.

Having extra life and still taking chances? There is no risk in it bruh. Be real.
Post automatically merged:

He could only do it once which is why he avoided it as much as possible untill he had no options
Pretty convenient, is not it?

On top of that, he got a mid-battle power up just to kill his opponent in one shot. Wow, I am amazed by the difficulties he faced. The best antagonist in shonen ever.

I am being real.

He still was close to death/defeat (he believed he could die from Hollow Purple, and that may still be true as he was never directly hit by it and just being in the radius injured him badly). The extra life isn't an automatic skill activated upon dead: it's just a one time heal extremely situational to this one only time in his life.

That "extra life" can at most be called an asspull but it's far being from a Gary Stu thing, and not something he would have had access to had the fight taken place under any other context, and not something he will ever again have access to. What we saw is precisely the fight without it and he did get nervous and scared near the end, once again, by the second time he was outsmarted.

The "extra life" changes nothing about his actual skills, techniques and weaknesses as a character/fighter.

Like Kenjaku having the Anti Gravity CT?
But Kenjaku is not treated like an idol.
Kenjaku failed many times in history, unlike Sukuna.
First Yorozu, Uro, Gojo and now Kashimo.

All of them look up to him. That's why he fits the Gary Stu criteria.
Power is just one aspect of it, his character, charisma, the way he think of himself and call others insects is a clear proof of it.
Even in the flashback he was being treated as a King. His epithet is itself King of Curses.

If Sukuna is shown to lose in the flashback, or how he struggled to get where he is now (without an extra life, of coruse), I will stop calling him a Gary Stu.

Will getting defeated by possibly Yuji count or must it be before his downfall?

If it did not change anything, why he switched to it now?

Go on, keep the same energy and die gracefully.

It is dumb to think that it did not change anything when he went into the gamble knowing full well that Uraume had 4 fingers and there was one in Gojo's possession.

If he failed to take over Megumi's body, he would still have been fine. Because Uraume could find another vessel or waited for another millennia or whatever.

He ALWAYS had options. There was no risk involved.
He said HP can be fatal, but judging from the damage it did, it was insignificant. Either HP was nerfed or Sukuna's durability is off the charts. Something does not add up here.
Then again, he fought 3v1 against Gojo. Had Mahoraga infront of him all the time as shield.
There was no way he could have lost. Even if there was, Gojo would not have killed Megumi with his own hands.

It sounds familiar. Have you read about Zoro Killing Kaido theories?

It will feel like that. Gojo, Kashimo and possibly Yuta doing all the hard work against Sukuna and then Yuji taking all the glory.

However, it will make sense if Yuji is the perfect counter for his real Cursed Techniqe.
Like Kenjaku had a perfect counter against Yuki's black hole; anti gravity.

Cursed techniques are fine by me. My only problem is being able to counter everything you throw at him.
And for this purpose only, Gege have to give Yuji something that can counter Sukuna (which again, will feel like an asspull at this point).
