So if you look at actual feats, Kid objectively wasn't portrayed to be any weaker than Law. In fact you could even argue his portrayal was better. Yet ever since the rooftop, there was this outpour of people who were disappointed by Kid and overall bashed him relentlessly. Why? Because Oda was lazy in his writing.
Oda portrayed Kaido and Linlin to be near invincible to physical damage. He portrayed haki and internal damage as the most effective ways to hurt the two. And then he gave Kid none of these tools and instead had Kid damage the yonko via brute strength alone. On paper, this actually fits quite well with Kid's character, but it was executed horribly. Oda never really developed Kid throughout wano. He was largely sidelined and rarely got the spotlight until act 3, which even then was minimal.
As a result, when Kid does something like slam kaido into the ground, we have no idea how to scale something like that. It could be an absolutely devastating attack or it could be franky level, I don't know. Kaido said it is effective, so we must assume it was. But isn't that kinda shitty storytelling? Mangaka are supposed to show, not tell. But Oda seems too often not have the time to show, so we see him explain things out to the audience all the time. Things that imo a better mangaka wouldn't need to explain.
The best example of this was in 1038 where Kid rams Linlin with his metal bull and some fodder exclaim how the bull was larger than a gigantified big mom. Imo this is the epitome of lazy storytelling. Shouldn't this be something apparent to the reader? We should instinctively be able to see that linlin is gigantified and the bull is larger, but Oda didn't have the time to draw it clearly, so we get an explanation instead.
What Oda should have done was scale Kid's strength against weaker characters before having him fight an emperor. This was so easy to do as he was tortured for like a month by Queen. Why not have him briefly clash against Queen to showcase his strength? Instead of repetitively paralleling Kid's punk rotten form with Luffy's G4 to showcase Kid's strength, why not instead have Kid ragdoll a calamity or even someone like X Drake to showcase exactly how overpowered this is?
Then when Kid uses an even more powerful attack like punk corna dio, fans wouldn't think of Franky's motorcycle, they'd think of how powerful this new attack must be since a weaker attack did so much damage to a strong character.
Anyways I don't want to attack Oda's work ethic because god knows its insane. But the writing itself is lazy and I'm 99% sure this is because of the limitations of weekly serialization which force Oda to cut corners. I think this type of serialization just isn't conducive to quality, but that itself speaks to how great a writer Oda is, for being able to survive this long in such a format.
