Controversial Kuina Was Zoro's Cousin?

Kuina Was Zoro's Cousin?
I'm pretty sure most of us believed that Zoro had a crush on Kuina when they were little. After all this time, we found out they're cousins? Awkward.

What makes it worse is that Zoro doesn't even know.

:kuzanshut:

Is it weird that Kuina parallels Tashigi and Zoro does shit like this with her...

They’re not cousins they’re just from the same tribe

I do not believe Zoro has a romantic interest in Kuina, but rather a deep admiration and a strong desire to surpass her.

As for Tashigi, Oda has hinted in the SBS that she may have some unresolved feelings for Zoro.

Despite Zoro's initial desire to be rid of Tashigi, he has consistently demonstrated a willingness to protect her, even going so far as to bandage her arm and carry her to safety without expecting anything in return.

I'm not sure if Zoro had a childhood crush on Kuina, but, if true, it doesn't bother me, really. They're second cousins (Koshiro and Arashi are first cousins), so, at least in my view, I have no problem with it. Marriages between second cousins are more common than you think, specially in small villages.

I appreciate your input, Lord Kung-Fu Dugong.

Are we all in agreement then? 2nd cousins are fair game?

Tbh, even first cousins are acceptable to me... the only problems I see are the potential genetic issues of inbreeding, but I guess that second cousins are distant enough. Brother/sister is the line that can't be crossed IMO.

Btw, my parents are second cousins and me and my brothers are fine. :owo:
