Damn, wishing this was canon. Kuma telling Mihawk that he wants to cure his daughter while Mihawk guides him to the castle library which has medical books, realising that Kuma’s ‘tyrant’ label is just government propaganda. Please Oda make this a thing.

What do you guys think about the relationship between Kuma and Mihawk? Mihawk was the only warlord shown not saying anything in response to Kuma joining the group; not even his thought process or inner monologue is shown. Kuma was also not shown interacting with anyone on Kuraigana island despite it being one of the places he searched for Bonney’s cure. Kuraigana is/was a deserted, war-torn ruined kingdom, so why was Kuma there? Did he ask Mihawk specifically for help or did he seek out Mihawk for a different reason (a connection to the Celestial Dragons, perhaps?) Kuma’s cross not only resembles Yoru, but the special ‘don!’ sfx used when introducing Mihawk. Could this have anything to do with it?

Any interaction between Mihawk and any new character would be much appreciated.

I don't think Kuma would have known if Mihawk had a connection with the CD or anything like that, we saw him go to random places in a desperate attempt, but seeing Mihawk actually give him a tip or, as you say, at least shown him his library, would have been cool. At the very least we would know if Mihawk cares about Kuma in the slightest. That didn't seem to be the case in Marineford, though.

Yo Den Den, I haven't been keeping up with OP at all lol.

But this is interesting to hear. The CD thing is interesting. Perhaps Kuma knows more about Mihawk than we do. Hopefully it gets revealed soon.

I suspect Kuma and Mihawk might have some kind of relationship given Kuma’s religion and Mihawk’s cross symbolism. Also the fact that he’s the only inhabitant of Kuraigana and therefore the only person Kuma could have asked about the cure.

About Mihawk not reacting to Kuma at Marineford, I think Oda can easily handwave or retcon it as Mihawk being Mihawk and focusing on his own agenda instead of on other people. Kizaru’s interactions with Kuma at Sabaody suggested a much colder relationship than the one shown in 1100 for example. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that Mihawk cares about Kuma but Kuma might care about him or at least feel grateful to him. As kind as Kuma is, Oda could easily write his motivations for sending Zoro and Perona to Mihawk as a way of paying Mihawk back for helping him and allowing him to experience the same surrogate fatherhood that he had with Bonney. That’s just my theory though.

Your welcome!Here's the saurce
About what you're asking first remember that kuma sent five strawhats 3 with revo allies/2 with sichibukais partners because besides wanting to reforcee the crew kuma knew the personality of all of them he worked with them for long time and he found out where all of them lived and surprisly mihawk was living in one place he visited in the past that at that time was deserted wich fits with mihawk personality since he love peaceful places

Why the hell did they change the color of Wihawk's clothes from red to yellow? It's the biggest nerf in the history of anime.I hate this:kriwhat:
Saw somebody on twitter point out that the yellow/gold is probably hinting towards something. The flower pattern on the clothes is that of the imperial flower of Japan or something which is also visible on the imperial throne of Japan. The throne is very similar to the Empty Throne. The color scheme is crimson (seating) and gold with the flower and lions.
