I don't agree with crediting the bombs entirely but it's equally dumb to discard them. Just one of those bombs left Big Mom in this state:

She was on the floor for Damned Punk due to PW, so I wouldn't say it counts as a normal clash. And I agree the second Punk Corna Dio was situational but he got countered in the chapter, which means he didn't land any hits by himself in the chapter, which, in turn, is what I was saying. Not to say he's completely incapable of landing hits on Big Mom, but as far as awakening goes, he almost always needed a distraction to work in his favor. The same applies to Law as well.

Kid was much stronger in the final phase of the fight, so everything that happened during the beginning and middle of the fight is not relevant to me about Kid's power level

I agree that mid-fight Kid and Law were immature with awakening and needed situational occasions and a large task force to land attacks on Big Mom. But in 1039 they proved stronger and more mature with their powers

No, damned punk was 1vs1, there was a lot of dialogue between Kid and BM before he managed to land the attack:

The challenge happened, but she was on the ground telling him to go ahead and attack her. She wasn't in any position to defend herself or do anything to Kid but she still challenged him because she was confident she could take it:

And she actually did resist the attack pretty well for someone in her position although Kid deserves credit for pinning her down despite her trying to resist attach by powering up. As far as damage goes, he didn't do much when compared to PW.

The best explanation we could come up with is that her defense is just a form of Haki because we know for a fact that her body is fragile. And it's not really hax; it's just too strong to be hurt by regular attacks. There were many instances of her defense getting broken: Kid broke her defense via Punk Corna Dio; Queen broke her defense via Brachio Bomber; Kong Gun almost broke her defense and rattled her arm; and the bomb in Onigashima's basement also hurt her pretty badly—This is a much stronger Big Mom.

Also they still have potential power level wise...their df r way too hax and diverse..if master advance haki they r definately make into top 5 eos

I think things will pretty much remain the same even after EOS. OP likely ends with Luffy ending the rule of CDs and Im, but they'll still have WG and the Marines. It's just that better people will be replacing the current rulers.

she had her body strong since birth tho. We've seen giants break blades on her.

BM by all accounts was birthed by a normal human couple and apparently she has CoC coating from birth?

What CoC aspirations did she have from birth? Aspiration to conquer Swedish buffet?

There are people who're blessed with a high talent in Haki without even then even realizing it. Aisa is one of the best CoO users in the series and she's just a kid. Boby Funk is pretty much a water-downed version of Big Mom and he's particularly said to have a weak will power.

Big Mom's defense isn't necessarily CoC; it could be passive CoA for all we know. Her body is fragile enough to get hurt from falling on the floor so we know for a fact that she isn't just born with a strong body, unlike Kaido or even Oden for that matter. It's her external defense that makes her almost impossible to hurt.

Sure Luffy will be over the top at the end. He will without any doubt be Top 1. But i think Kid and Law will stick close to it.

No, probably a much longer reader than you are btw (or did you start reading weekly since Water 7/ ~2004)?

She was still in a very fine condition for OP standards when she fell down, as you can see in all those panels during her fall. No sign of her losing consciousness or anything. Just a few bruises and an angry look/look of disbelief on her face.

Oda did everything in his power to showcase the fall + nuke + magma was her demise. She did everything to stop the fall, even tried to clinge to the bombs in the basement to stop it (again, with a totally fine look on her). She couldn't and met her end down in the magma hole.

I really don't know how anyone can read this fight and actually think Oda tried to emphasize Kid/Law actually beating her up due to them being "stronger" or anything.

Sad truth is that Kidd was arguably never too special but just because Luffy will probably never fight him in a serious battle because he will either die or stop being a Pirate once everyone reached their dreams
