Why does Oda insist on having Luffy be the only one to beat Kaido down for good? why can't it be a group effort? (like Oars was back in Thriller Bark) or is breaking the "on a 1v1 bet on Kaido" rumor that important?

Plenty of reasons for that.

1. Luffy is meant to surpass everyone alive, OP isn't a story where teamworks trumps might.

2. Luffy's fights have historically all ended in 1V1s

3. Luffy has taken 0 Ws this entire arc while Zoro/Sanji/Kid/Law all have

Wano for me is the worst arc ever and this chapter seals it for me lol. It feels like work to read one piece these days.

LOL Oda is so bad with fights. Hype the yonko soo much that he couldn't have Luffy beat him to soon or you would all be upset. It really doesn't matter what he does with these yonkos, people will be displease because of his retarded hype of yonkos. Oden already clearly proved that Kaido is nowhere near invincible. He did the same nonsense with Katakuri and OP fans had the nerve to say that fight was good as Luffy vs Lucci. Overhype equals to Luffy having drawn out fights. All of Luffy's abilities have insane limits on them, that Oda is refusing to remove. Whole time homeboy is worried about losing G4 which means he can clearly stomp any top tier as long as he has it. I been saying it, Oda intentionally leaving Luffy with drawbacks for tension and it backfired hard.

To me the shitiest thing is seeing "fans" getting exciting no matter what happens and still believing in Luffy.

They hate CP0 Boss now but thinks Luffy will awaken because of this.
Everybody said Snakeman was perfect for that situation and some even thought it was a new form. But when he changed Boundman everybody liked anyway.

I lost hopes when Luffy got defeated at 1013. To me fight could have ended there with him winning. Already got too much bullshit power up in this arc.

i kinda agree lol well oda can do what he wants this year i just think it would be cool since 997 (zoros declaration to slice kaido to pieces) was the final chapter of november then 1033 (he becomes a king) was the final chapter of november so he ends november 2022 with zkk as the final chap of november or if it comes before something in regards to zoro will be in november possibly him going to ryumas grave but its just my hc lol :cheers:

Yeah, both Big Mom and Kaido's fights are pretty boring tbh. King/Katakuri were way more interesting in their respective fights.

While other fanbase gives tons of discussion of their characters, the only thing that Luffy's fans do are either downplaying other characters or "Luffy is the MC" stuff.
