Is there a M3? Yes, the 3 strongest of the strawhats - Zoro, Sanji, Luffy
Will there be a M4? Yes, with Jinbei joining in, as symbolized by his team up with Sanji at FMI and his recent WCI feats of psuedo-leading the strawhats in Luffy's absence on the ship

But before M3/M4 there will always be a M2, this is something that Oda has established for a long time.

So it merely depends on where you want to draw the line.

The strongest strawhats by a good margin? You will get a M3, and m4 when Jinbei joins.
The strawhats that are neck to neck? You will get a M2

It isn't a fan made concept though. Nami literally described them as a monster trio - it's a concept Oda himself introduced into the manga.

True, Sanji can't do that, but there's no way Zoro can be even half as fast as Sanji. For everything Zoro is better at, there's an equal and opposite aspect of combat Sanji is better at. But I digress, no matter how different in strength you or anyone thinks Luffy, Zoro and Sanji are, the M3 will always exist. They're all still in the same crew. Nobody's died. Nobody is going to join the crew and disrupt that balance either. Jinbe's coming mighty close but he has no cigar.

Actually m3 is still there because they are the 3 strongest of the crew. But the gap between luffy zoro and sanji are too too big.
We even got a full chapter with l and z training with haki and swords before onigashima but nothing with sanji. Sanji didn't get any hint with kaido so for 99% he will not fight him. But his PU is enough against a yc. Need to see if it's against queen or someone else.
Since the post skip, oda was more interested with sanji cooking ability than fights. But oda decided to give luffy and zoro the feats they need to become the PK and WSS. It's not shame to not be on luffy and zoro league so sanji is fine.

Before even the time-skip took place I believed there was no M3 Luffy & Zoro delved into techniques which they didn't understand (Zoro CoA & CoO) (Luffy CoC & CoO).

Sanji on the other hand was lagging behind and didn't show any signs of haki (before Sanji fans do the ignore ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ) just read through this first.

Sanji is a strong fighter and he is capable of holding his own merit but I don't believe he is within the tier of Luffy's & Zoro's in fact I believe that the time-skip cemented this while Luffy and Zoro main focus is training their bodies and improving their haki , Sanji's focus was on supporting the crew through his cooking and also increasing his combat skills. (his main priority was his cooking)

For Zoro his Coa is his pride the second his sword is damaged its considered shame (Zoro and Mihawk discussed this)
For Luffy his CoC and his will to be the Pirate King is held in a similar regard.

Since Sanji has not shown any CoA (hardening) or any highly impressive CoO feats at the moment it seems like the cook is lagging behind especially since the Raid Suit is involved.

Advanced CoA FEATS :
Chapter 687 - We have Zoro cutting Monets cheek displaying that he is capable of sending haki air slashes
Chapter 955 - We have Luffy sending a Haki air punch towards a tree displaying that he's pretty much perfected Advanced haki

Luffy and Zoro have been using advanced CoA while Sanji hasn't shown any hardening.

What your thoughts on the current structure of the three Starwhats ?

When Luffy reunited with Zoro after the wci, he was so happy he ran up to Zoro jumped on Zoro and hugged him. The only other guys he did this to were his brothers, ie Sabo.

The relationship between Zoro and Luffy is based on strength and friendship. Luffy made sure Zoro was strong enough before recruiting him. Zoro also makes sure Luffy isnt seen as weak. He did this withthe Usopp incident and in FI after Luffy showed CoC etc. Both of them dont allow ththe other to appear weak or to be weak.

Relationship between Luffy and everyone else is just based on friendship. Luffy didnt even bother to check on their strength. He just checked whether they were good people and whether he could be nakama with them

The gap between them will forever be small and they will forever be in the same tier and lvl

I'd actually say for the first time in years seems like Oda's actually putting in some effort with the M3 instead of it being the Luffy show. Especially with Enma and the RS. Doesn't mean they're equal- Luffy>Zoro>Sanji, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be- but I'm at least optimistic for what the future holds.

I don’t get what you guys/girls obsession is with putting Zoro miles ahead of Sanji. It simply isn’t going to happen even when Zoro becomes WSS. Why? These two characters are rivals. Moreover, rivals on the same crew. Can y’all ever imagine Zoro topping Luffy’s bounty? The reality is that it cannot happen but here we have Sanji topping Zoro’s bounty atm. (You can say it’s bcoz of the Vinsmoke name or whatever, but it doesn’t change the fact that Sanji has a higher bounty atm).
