Considering the skypians gods and the harley text my theory is that:
- Imu is the god of forest (From the second world, void century 900 years ago) he unleashed the demons. His powers basically fit with the demons theme
- BB is the god of earth (From the first world, Nika's main enemy).

We know that these powers came from the fruits. To be Nika you need to eat his fruit. To become the god of forest you need to eat his fruit. So I think BB third fruit is the god of earth fruit

I think it fundamentally sets up that they are the Ultimate and Penultimate villains respectively. Blackbeard has the ambition to take it but Imu already has it. And realistically we know how the WG is meant to fall, but someone becoming Pirate Kinf at the right time.

To me then by that logic is Imu is still the endgoal. Rocks/Blackbeard represents the pinnacle of Piracy, but Imu represents the pinnacle of the world itself as it is.

When I wrote my last thread I was wondering if Vander Decken the 1st or Davy Jones could have been the first guy to touch the forbidden sun/the creators of DFs but at that time I ruled that they weren't from that era... I should have gone with Davy Jones.

To me then by that logic is Imu is still the endgoal.

I think Imu is 4th last battle, at best.
Imo, the order is like this Imu>Blackbeard>Buggy>Davy Jones.
And if Buggy and Teach are both Rocks' sons, we might add Man with burn scar as 3rd Rocks' son as another obstacle which would make Imu 5th last battle...

I think he might be very crucial plot line and thus the final villain.
His locker may be a crucial item in erasing the sin that was introduced by touching the forbidden sun.
It says things locked inside his locker are never seen again.
