Tartaros

Juvia, Levy or Zeref
Post automatically merged:

I think majority will have tartaros as their fav.
yh easily

things that pissed me off in FT:

Makarov set up of dying but he actually doesnt die, PoF, same character designs, when Sting asked to fight FT all at once but he just gave up in the end during the 5th day of GMG, etc

I was actually impressed arc survived without natsu as main focus.
Laxus and Gray took the final stage.

Yeah honestly natsu is a fine MC (definitely like him more than most) but my number one favorite thing about fairy tail is that literally every main character gets to shine and look like an absolute badass.

Laxus became my favorite alongside erza because he has one of the best redemption arc from Thunder Palace -> Sacrificing himself against hades so a member of fairy tail can win (what a legend) -> Beating Ivan’s entire guild (one of my favorite scenes) -> Sacrificing himself beginning of Tartaros just holy hell

Not a huge fan of Natsu. TBH majority of series I don't like MC's.

But laxus Redemption was good , His contribution to defeating Hades. Also he's a character built for badassness like Whitebeard.
Bro one shotted One of the strongest Ishagar Wizard!!!

Laxus was an absolute legend from start to finish.

And the only reason I don’t mind natsu as much is because the story lets him be absent so he doesn’t get too obnoxious for me. Which is something that more stories need is letting their protagonist not always be on screen

2003 Full metal alchemist anime was way better than Brotherhood

calling strawhats family is cringe. They are basically strangers who barely know about each other or talk at all. People try to say something like Hero academia is mid, but from what I remember, that cast while being larger than strawhats somehow talked and developed more in like 3-4 seasons than Strawhats in 1000 chapters

Gurren Lagan was too over the top. Like literally out of this world. Went from simple sized mechas to bigger than galaxy. Shit was silly
Forgettable plot. Literally forgot what was it about, just remember something about spirals, that dude dying (stupid death), that big ttity girl and that good ending. Amazing opening. 5/10

Fate series suck ass. The fuck is that? No plot whatsoever and whoever gets Gilgamesh should win automatically.

1st Jojo part should be skipped. Literally sleep inducing. Everything is so fucking boring and generic.
4th Jojo part is the best one (did not read manga)

demon slayer team up fights in the manga are better than any fight in one piece

If they consider themselves family then they are family, nobody other than Oda can say otherwise. What we see isn’t just their whole lives, there have been timeskips that would go a week or two forward with stuff that we didn’t see. Your argument could be “If it wasn’t written, it never happened!” but the fun part about storytelling is not knowing what the author doesn’t tell you. It leaves room for imagination, and imagination is what keeps stories alive.

I think that’s a big reason why Touhou is still very popular in Japan.

Oda should still dedicate more scenes of the Straw Hats just hanging out with each other but that probably won’t happen until EoS if at all, but atleast the anime and movies try to do that every once and a while.

Jojo Part 1 isn’t even that long. If you couldn’t sit through 9 episodes of the anime or 44 chapters of the manga but be fine with watching 39 episodes or 174 chapters of Diamond Unbreakable then you’re just being impatient or careless.

Part 1 was what introduced us to Dio and the Stone Mask, both of which played important roles in Parts 2 and 3. The Speedwagon Foundation also stemmed from it.

Did I think it was boring? Yeah, kind of. Despite that, I think it’s worth sticking with if you’re gonna take the time to experience everything else afterward.

I don’t really remember the Demon Slayer fights well since I only watched the anime and that was a while ago, but they’re a lot shorter since it’s an annual anime and not a weekly one. Big difference right there.

Also, any fight? Really? Even the pre-timeskip ones? :lusalty:

These are definitely hot takes.

I voted op is top 10 but I also haven’t read enough mangas to make the best call. It’s decisively better than others in the big 3 and fairy tail. Op is not anywhere near as intricate as HxH, but much easier and more enjoyable to read.

Oda’s strength is his consistency, which is likely the best in the business.

There’s plenty to criticize in his writing, but looking at it as a cartoon serial for teenagers, it’s pretty damn good. It’s not easy to remain consistent for over 300 chapters, let alone nearly 1100. Most mangas either take a nosedive in quality at that point or end completely.

He’s been able to churn out chapter after for close to 3 decades now, and mostly keep the story on track without bending or breaking too many of the rules of his own universe. Not an easy feat, even compared to other forms of literature.
