Character Discussion Mihawk wanted to be the Pirate King but gave up on his dream

Mihawk set sail before the Great age of piracy, he did not decide to go to the sea because of One Piece.
Can anyone remember if Mihawk ever refered himself as Pirate? I don't remember.
he has now crew, he don't engage in piracy, he hunted marines back then like a terrorist perhaps, but also stopped that.
Mihawk is only considered a pirate because everyone call him that, he fits none of the standards of the manga of being a pirate, Oda just decided to label him that. he has no direct relation with the One Piece and couldn't care less about it.

Kaido’s statement regarding Roger completely debunks this theory. That’s coming from someone who only respects strength above all else.
Kaido knows you need the Road Poneglyph. He also knows Roger didn't defeat the other Yonko, as this would be a big enough event to recognize and none of the Yonko were dethroned at that time. So he knows Roger just collected the RP peacefully.
Kaido is intelligent and pretty knowledgeable about how the world operates. If he says Haki reigns supreme, there is truth to it. You can't even take top tier fruit users for comparison, as most of them are top tier haki users too. And even then, they are competing with non fruit users. Like Whitebeard with top tier fruit and Haki being stalemated by Roger, who has no fruit but just better Haki. That's what big of a difference Haki makes. And now take away CoC from Whitebeard and he would stand no chance against Roger.

Personally and maybe i need to read some responses to see why this would be such a bad idea,but i do not see anything wrong with it i saw someone say on the forum

we know croc wanted to be pirate king and even though he probably had the wealth(headcannon but he could have wanted pk then loss to wb and settled on his utopia) he did not have the power whitebeard stopped him. Now seemingly through buggy he is back on that goal possibly.
Mihawk has the power and as strong as he is individually(personal top 1
) he does not have the one ability that luffy has, and truthfully speaking he should notice the same ability in buggy.
To add to this Mihawk has this understanding about pk.
It is harder than trying to surpass him, and the one thing in the end that separates mihawk and luffy is that power that luffy has. Unlike luffy mihawk is a loner and distrusting of other. So maybe he was curious about the treasure or the final island not necessarily wanting to become pirate king but it did not work out because he is such a loner etc or whatever his backstory entails ,but what he does have is strength over roger and in turn shanks.

Rogers haki transcended all and yet that haki as strong as it was, was not enough to get him to the final island roger admits he needed odens help.
