X-Drake, as well as all of SWORD, as well as Smoker and Tashigi, Bogard as Garp's right-hand and him being an opportunity to show an incredibly powerful swordsman in the marines, and also T-Bone, the most noble and heroic marine ever and another opportunity of great swordsman who was cruelly killed off by Oda.
I am bitter because Monet was first a slave and then a victim of Doflamingo manipulation. Basically she lived as a minion her whole life. She is one of the victims of One Piece who usually get saved by Luffy, instead she was one of the only three characters up to that point who were straight killed. She did not deserved that what the actual fuck.
A few other problems with Akainu is that Aokiji opposed and duelled him because he didn't want to see him leading and possibly radicalizing the Navy, yet we haven't seen signs of more ruthless and fanatical Marines after the timeskip, and also he moved Marineford in the New World to expand the Navy's power here and challenge the Yonkos more directly but we have yet to see fruits of this decision happening either.
The RA in general feels underwhelming and uninteresting compared to the other major factions and powers, having been left underdevelopped for so long, with Dragon having yet to do a big move, and lacking the cool and interesting or funny aspects of the other factions that are the Navy, the Emperors and the Warlords.
Even as an underling, he still could have done so much with his powers, a sleep devil fruit has so much potential with him having the potential to put not only others to sleep, but also control them via sleepwalking, use a healing sleep technique, possibly putting his foes into nightmare trances that only he can break off, see and interact with others' dreams, etc...
