Vivi might not have a place to go so she maybe the strawhats might ask her to join and say her kingdom is in open rebellion. if done right before the final war this might motivate multiple kingdoms to send their armies in support and rebel too. this is kinda how we saw things going for years now anyway.
Let’s be honest, Carrot fans have been popping off without cause for a slick seven years, they learned no lessons before Yamato and they’ve clearly learned nothing since that train derailed

This fucker was supposed to open the borders of Wano but spent five years dancing naked in the street, even when, after Moria's war with Kaido, Oden could have taken Kaido down. Now, I know this is because of Toki's prophecy, and the Dawn, and Oden realized he was kind of doomed and not destined to take down Kaido. Still pisses me off. THIS PISSES ME OFF.
That's probably what Oda wanted, and fuck it worked.
Yamato's idol is Oden, who wanted to open Wano's borders, which requires Pluton's activation. Yamato wanted to stay behind to protect Wano, and Carrot was last seen being offered to rule over Zou. The Gorosei made it clear in 1052 that Zou is connected to opening Wano's borders.
Momo told Zunesha he didn't want to open the borders, yet. Why would he tell Zunesha that, unless Zunesha is the one who opens the borders? That's what Zunesha was waiting for: to take the Minks to the Kozuki Kingdom, Wano, and open its borders.
So, both Yamato and Carrot were left behind to deal with Pluton and Wano's borders opening.
If Oda hates my guts he'll offscreen it, if not we'll get the Straw Hats back in Wano, get Zoro's real backstory, and have Vegapunk deal with Caesar's fucked up SMILE Fruits.
The other important aspect of Carrot, though, is that she and the minks are heavily connected to the moon. In Japanese mythology, the markings on the moon are seen as a rabbit pounding mochi, and, because of this, rabbits are connected to the moon in Japanese folklore and culture. You see this with Sailor Moon being named Usagi (rabbit).
In One Piece, the Minks are capable of transforming into Sulong during the full moon. During Act 3's fights, we had Carrot, Wanda, Inurashi, and Neku, all four "rulers" have prominent moments in Sulong involving Luffy's fight and the moon, connecting Luffy, the Minks, and the Moon together narratively. During Sulong, their hair turns white and they gain expanded physical powers. Who else do we know who does this?
Since Luffy in the Sun God, and transformed during the full moon, when the light of the sun is reflecting from the sun the most, I believe Luffy's Gear 5 will also be affected during Solstices and Eclipses. If the Straw Hats do go to the moon, and Luffy fights in space, he'll be getting direct sunlight without any atmosphere to dilute it, also potentially leading to a new form.
Back to Carrot, while fighting under the full moon in Gear 5, we see Luffy grab lightning. This connects to Enel, Electro, and, believe it or not, these fuckers, the Space Pirates from Enel's cover story, who are animals who use electricity to fight. IE, Ancient Minks.
So, Carrot's future plotlines involve opening Wano's Borders, and going to the Moon with the Straw Hats to uncover secrets about the Ancient History and how it ties to the Mink Race (same think with Yamato and Oni).
So, I still think the likelihood of her joining is high.
I just want Vivi, Carrot, and Yamato to sail to Laugh Tale, on the Sunny. That's it.
