Don’t worry. Carrot may appear on a future cover story where she munches on grass like a cow back on Zou.
wtf?

I was pretty sure Yamato would join a year ago, but I'm not so sure now. Wano's almost over, she's barely interacted with the crew, has no real friendship with Luffy, hasn't really done anything all that important, and has spent almost the entire arc with Momo. Like she could join but it really doesn't feel like she's being written to be a Strawhat
Reasonnable

It seems like both you and @CarrotForNakama can't read and always use haven't met the crew as a reason for her not joining the crew 😭 didn't luffy tell Yamato to help Momo 🤔 also what do you mean by she hasn't done anything important in this arc? 😂 who was the one to stop kaido from going down to the live floor, who was the one that saves both momo and luffy? , who was the one to stop the bomb from destroying the island 👀? Yamato did more than anyone in the raid so let's not forget what she has been doing during the raid unlike the little bunny girl who done nothing

When I say Yamato hasn't really done that much I mean that none of her actions directly progressed the plot. Like, fucking Caribou did more to push the plot forward then she did
Also I'm aware that Carrot's not joining. It's just I think if Yamato really was gonna join, then it'd be weird that she and Momo are getting pushed as a duo

Caribou suppress the communication in the udon prison, and gave Luffy food recharged his energy and he had not participate in any of the events that were going on story. I would kind of disagree Caribou did more than Yamato did.
Your talking about the same caribou who basically was responsible kidnapping mermaids, causing problems fishman island. What I compare caribou similar to what lola did for luffy. Giving shadows to luffy in order to fight oars.

I agree that Yamato hasn't done anything to move the plot for but she has stopped it from completely ending
Like stated stated by other here

She stopped Sasaki from killing Momo and Shinobu, which would've destroyed the moral of the samurai and the raid would be over

She stopped Kaido from going down to the live floor which in the condition he was in he wouldve killed everyone before Luffy could awaken his Gear 5 and take him 1 on 1

She stopped the bombs from exploding and destroying the entire island which wouldve... destroyed the whole island lol

If you were to compare it to previous female recruits it kinda lines up

(even though I hate the parallel argument)

Nami, Johnny and Yosaku stopped the villagers from getting themselves killed in Arlong Park, which would defeat the purpose of them fighting in the first place

And Robin stalled herself from going through the Gates of Justice which again, the whole reason for them fighting

Let me put it this way: if you took Yamato out of the story not that much would change. If you took Caribou or Lola out of the story, a number of events would have to change in order for the plot to work.
I realize that I'm being a bit too harsh here, but I just think Oda would have given her more stuff to do if she really was gonna join the crew. It doesn't feel as though she's getting more focus than, say, Kinemon or Momonosuke

I mean, compare Yamato to Robin and Nami in the arcs where joined. Nami was pretty much the whole reason Luffy came into conflict with Buggy to begin with, and she directly helped Luffy beat him. Robin likewise was a very important character in the Alabasta arc and she did a lot of things that progressed the plot, both as someone who opposed and helped the Strawhats. She was the one who kidnapped Vivi in Rainbase, she's the one who brought the king to the tomb, and she also saved Luffy's life twice.

Like, I'm not trying to bash Yamato or say she can't join. I'm just saying that imo it doesn't feel as though she's being written like a Strawhat.

:suresure: Caribou?

Yep. Caribou gave Luffy the meat he needed to get back on his feet and fight Kaido.
Caribou is the savior Wano :sanmoji:
No, Yamato froze them at the last second and otherwise everyone would have been blown up by Kanjuro’s revenge. That happened before Big Mom came tumbling down
Fair enough. I realize that I'm being pedantic here but idk I just think it's weird that Yamato hasn't done more

They weren't reading the story cause if they were I think they would notice how Yamato has so much into the story after wano the fact that Yamato knows what was in the Journal and also knows Luffy's true dream 😁

I guess you going to ignore chapter 1026 then 😁

1026 didn't create or resolve any new plot points and nothing all that huge came from it other than Luffy getting back up to take her place. It was very apparent that Oda was struggling to find something for Yamato to do throughout the raid, considering that he came up with the whole bomb subplot which didn't really do all that much other than give a shortcut for taking down Big Mom. He easily could've had Yamato do something like defeat Jack or save Brook and Robin from CP0, but he decided not to.
You get what I'm saying here, right? If Yamato really is gonna be a Strawhat (which she might to be fair), it's weird that she didn't do a lot of really important stuff like the other Strawhats did.

She’s done about as much as Brook did in Thriller Bark while having to compete with a ton more characters

-save Momo/save Franky and Robin
-get beat off Ryuma/ get battered a bit off Kaido
-provide the salt weakness/ stop the bombs exploding or getting the notebook
-fight Oars/ fight Kaido

You really can't compare Brook providing the salt to Yamato freezing the bombs. Brook knowing about the salt was the only reason the crew was able to actually beat any of the zombies. The bombs were a plot device to take down Big Mom

She was the only one who was used to introducing the bomb plot which ended up in defeating BM too I guess...
Wait...what exploded on BM...just the bombs I guess not the armory.

So you are saying that Her fighting Kaido in 1v1 isn't important then?
