you and Van should go back to jmena's post i originally answering to and you could understand what is the point so maybe you would stop disagreeing with what is not the point.
You made it the point by pointing it out, genius. If you didn’t wanna be called on this, maybe you shouldn’t have split hairs between asking or telling when the answer is the same either way.

Plus usually when you think about someone who is relatively the last in anything to join the team or group of people. They are usually relatively powerful. Think of super sentai/power rangers, digimon and etc.
Yep. The “6th ranger trope” although it doesn’t have to actually be a “6th” member, just an 11th hour powerhouse addition.

Jinbe would have also probably sufficiently met that standard from a power standpoint but based on BB we know that Luffy is probably missing at least 1 more person after Jinbe.

Even those who asked to join the crew are all different. Usopp asked to be captain, Robin forced Luffy with simple reasoning, Brook asked to join AFTER Luffy asked him to join(opposite of Usopp)

Yamato forcing the issue would be different from all of these, which is good. I personally have my own theories as to how all the candidates join and I try to make them unique

i give up. i can't spend ten posts explaining something that is written in a image because some people want to discuss a technicality instead of what is the point of the discussion. it's like playing chess with a pigeon. i prefer to lose than to be pulled into stupidity any longer.

Bro, even Luffy understood what Robin was saying...
Don't try to change what it happened...

It’s not a win or lose scenario, looking at it that way is your mistake. If you make the point that Robin TOLD Luffy she wanted to join the crew instead of ASKING as if there’s a discernible difference, you’re grasping at straws to begin with, since the intent either way is to ride on his ship and he would have said yes regardless because he thought she was a good person. If you don’t like the way your argument is being perceived, make a better one, but taking your ball and going home doesn’t mean either of us is right or wrong.

Yamato never said she wanted to sail with Luffy.
She said she WILL.
She never asked Luffy to join his crew, she Said HE MUST TAKE HER because she couldn't sail with Ace.

There's a huge difference between "Can I Join", and "I must join "
Yamao didn't give a fuck about Luffy until Ace died, Yamao wanted to sail with the Choosen one, and the first choosen one for her was Ace, Luffy was the second dish...

Nami never said Luffy must take her on her first appearance.
Neither robin did.

Yamao is forcing Luffy to do what she wants.
Oh, for fucks sake don't you start calling her Yamao too. I thought you were one of the reasonable ones.

When will people realize they got shitty arguments...
Is everything some sort of conspiracy to you people, How about switching to reality and see exactly what's on the tin. Yamato asked to join, wants to join. Said multiple times, You think Oda's really putting that out there for no reason.
Stop being Intellectually Dishonest.

you sound like a reasonable person so i will explain the chain of discussion from the start.
jmena said yamato was not asking to join she was telling luffy he had to let her join. she was imposing herself and that is not how the straw hats work and no straw hat ever did before.
i said this is exactly what robin did. she was not invited and just told luffy he had to let her join. she was as imposing as yamato is being so yamato's behavior is not against her chances of joining or against how a straw hat should join. the point of the discussion you said you did not understood is pointing how robin actions compare to yamato and how yamato imposition is not different from robin.

i think you can perceive my argument better but is not my job to make the entire argument clear in every post thinking of anyone who might want to jump in the train without checking what the discussion is about.

I'm gonna go ahead and say goodbye to the lovely folks in here. The battle is over at this point, and anyone who still thinks Yamato won't join is lying to themselves. There's a reason why half the Carrot squad has jumped ship while even people who hate Yamato are saying she'll join. No point in arguing with delusion imo. I'll come back if the discussion shifts away from Yamato as more people accept her inclusion, but somehow I doubt that will happen.

@jmena , @Davidsuxx , @Shift
You guys rock, and you deserve your character to join. I hope Carrot gets in alongside Yamato for you guys if nothing else. Don't give up, and feel free to DM me if you want to chat!

@dizzy2341 I know you're dropping One Piece after Wano, but you better at least stick around to take your L when Yamato joins. After all the shit talking you've done you should give us a good tantrum before you leave.

Well, fair enough, I missed the first part and only jumped on the second bit. I’ve seen people argue that Robin asking to join the crew is an anomaly just to disqualify Yamato, which I think is bullshit for reasons I’ve stated in other posts I don’t expect you to have read, so I picked up on something you weren’t necessarily putting down.

Since some weeks, I really changed my opinion about this debate. Before, I was strictly opposed to Yamato joining the crew. Now, I think he has his chances to join it and it would not bother me.
I'm a Carrot&Yamato4Nakama supporter.

What does Yamao even mean? Calling her a hoe? I thought people just didn't know how to spell her name at first
Luffy literally called her Yama-o.

At least Yamato and Robin had a reason for inviting themself, Carrot just forced herself on the ship for fun..

Although is Yamato's purpose valid enough for Luffy to accept her on the Sunny, as for now Yamato is only assuming Luffy will take her on the crew because she was Ace's pal.. Usually, the saying goes as the friends of my friends are my friends, but with Luffy is the friend of his brother his Nakama?
