Yamato’s past - daughter of Kaido, inspired by Oden, held captive with other samurai, learned about the outside world, beaten for 20 years, formed a bond with Ace and learned about Luffy, betrayed her father to help bring him down

Carrot’s past - heard Pedro talk about Roger once, got some cute little gloves :gokulaugh:

On the Internet?? You and dizzy aren’t even smart enough to see the writing on the wall here, something tells me y’all aren’t capable of following up on an empty virtual threat 🙄

Also, that first “decoy” you mentioned is canonically a former Straw Hat…y’all can’t even make a coherent point without inadvertently arguing FOR Yamato 🤣

Still, edgy boy, Vivi was a narrative decoy. I know your brain sometime fail to understand basic storytelling on major scale, but i'm sure this narrative trick was simple enough for you to grasp a hint.

I’d ask you to explain what the hell “narrative decoy” means when we have genuine confirmation of her status as a nakama, since your beautiful mind understands this Japanese comic better than the author who writes it, but again, I doubt it’ll make MORE sense with your gibberish :cr7:

A former strawhat is exactly that. Former.

You're not specific at all when you talk. You barely ever explain yourself! It's always "the characterization is different" without explaining how, or "that's a bad faith argument" without explaining why. If there's one thing you're not, it's specific.
Your talking to a poster who along with another making bad faith arguments saying backstories are not needed along with saying they understand the story better than everyone.

@Van is spinning in his metaphorical grave

I can give you that. I don't try to explain my concepts, because I think that you wouldn't listen most of the time. So.. it's the same anyway for me. The principle of an injonction is that I don't need to explain.

When someone say something and the story proves it wrong, I'm not the one who need to explain why it's wrong, the other person needs to convince me that they are right. That's the magic of the burden of proof.
