One thing I do miss in getting new Nakama is seeing them change their mind about Luffy halfway through an arc:
Zoro - Respected him after Coby told him about helmeppo
Nami - The Chouchou scene and Arlong
Usopp - The “who’d risk their life out of pity speech”
Sanji - The iron grit during the Krieg fight
Chopper - The flag holding scene
Robin - Carrying her to safety and “I want to live”
Franky - Frankys crying I love you guys
Brook - Brook finding out they know laboon

Like the best scenes from these arcs are the emotional scenes where they decide they can depend on Luffy and the straw hats. And we never really got that from Jinbe

Don't forget when luffy went impel down rescue ace and even saving him as well got the respect for jimbei. As well helping him save his homeland.

He actually had a good motivation, waiting to see the dawn of the new world and had a connection with the Pirate King, plus his design's fucking sick as is his fighting style(helicopter tail!!!!)

Yamato is just a big boobed girl with horns and carrot is just bait for furries, both are just there to sell merch
