Just rewatched Zou arc and carrot isn't the only white minks there u are such a liar cause sanji did Garchu on Another White Mink, So u are wrong again about carrot being a “Special Mink". Yamato is different from the beast pirates and Tobi Roppo we can see it in her design.
Never said she was the only white mink. I only said that as a white Rabbit, she stands out. Go read my initial post before calling me a lyer ;).
Yamato is similar to Oden in her character design. But yes, she is special too.
Your theory is pretty extensive and seems fairly objective. It’s clear to see how Carrot’s the leading namaka candidate based on your criteria, but it doesn’t seem as concrete as how you made it out to be.
First off it’s hard to stay completely objective, even you yourself said so. You have a good set of criteria but the answers to those questions are not set in stone. I bet if you had 3 analyst fill out their own pillars following your criteria they’d arrive at 3 different rankings. For example: under the subjects of quirks and thematic incarnation you have some characters listed as not having any, but it is possible that just because you couldn’t think of any doesn’t mean they don’t exist (I’m aware you have these subjects worth less points but this is just an example).
Another thing is it’s easier to see why each straw hat was picked for the crew in retrospect, but it’s much harder during the process because the amount of pillars each straw hat achieved before joining the crew is different. Example: Nami compared to Robin.
Anyway, good theory. I’m hoping we get multiple recruits if the story permits it.
Wow.. damn. The first fair criticism on my work I had since October. Feels good to be taken a little bit more seriously. I'll reply point by point:
ut it doesn’t seem as concrete as how you made it out to be.

First you are completely right on that. Even I can't be objective here. Storytelling analysis is not an exact science at all, and when we dive into deep storytelling concept, we are bound to make subjectives mistakes. That's why I'll keep trying to enhance that theory, to change the pointing system if necessary to be the fairest possible.
I bet if you had 3 analyst fill out their own pillars following your criteria they’d arrive at 3 different rankings.
And this is why I need actual serious feedback. The carrot for Nakama theory wasn't created by me alone, we were many at the beginning. A theory is a collaborative work and I'm completely willing to hear constructive criticism and modify my work in consequence.
Concerning those pillar specifically, this would be true for at least one of them... indeed, the symbolic reach might be the most subjective Pillar of all. For example, we could argue on wether or not Yamato as a thematic incranation. On my hand, I doesn't consider her to have a real one, as her moral struggle are dispatch around many theme (Adventure/Freedom/Responsibility/Duty/Determination).. BUT this is completely open for debate. That would be the one point were I'm not really sure of myself. In fact, I'm willing to give one more point to Yamato if I'm given enough evidence that one of those theme is her real thematic incarnation. (
Just for the reminder, a thematic incarnation,is the "theme" that the protagonist incarnates in the story, the most proeminant subject of his struggles and moral dilemas)
Another thing is it’s easier to see why each straw hat was picked for the crew in retrospect, but it’s much harder during the process because the amount of pillars each straw hat achieved before joining the crew is different. Example: Nami compared to Robin.
Indeed. That's why the pillar are not definitive "rules" like the 7 rules in the first part of my theory. The pillars are here more as a guidance for us to see which character really approach the graal.
Anyway, good theory. I’m hoping we get multiple recruits if the story permits it.
I hope so too
