How is it bad faith? Every strawhat is meant to be the best in the world at their role. At the very least they are showcased to be extremely good at their role. It doesn't matter how fast Daifuku is. You claim WCI was Carrot's showcase. But how did she showcase her lookout ability? When Oda showcases a new nakama in their new role in the crew, he shows them succeed. I legitimately did not know there was a moment in WCI when Carrot failed as a lookout. She let the fleet surround them without even noticing. What kind of top notch lookout does that? If Carrot was going to be the lookout for the strawhats, you know what would have happened? She'd have jumped super high up and seen the ambush coming long before the ships arrived, and the strawhats would have been completely prepared. The strawhats lose fights and take Ls all the time, but they don't fail at their roles. This is a big deal in my opinion. Feel free to disagree, but stop telling me what my mindset is.

If you had simply made your argument I'd have responded respectfully and come back later with my thoughts on it after rereading. But instead you assumed my mindset for a third time and insulted me the whole time, so instead I'll just say "fuck off" and be done with it. You know I really wanted to have real discussions with you, but every time I disagree with you you just attack my character, saying it's bad faith and I know better and tell me how I feel. Thanks for the apology, I appreciate it! I definitely understand how frustrating it is to have a whole bunch of people argue against you at once. I've been on the recieving end of it myself, and I know some of my friends can get pretty toxic too. I'll try and be more understanding of that.

For the record, I really do want Carrot to join the crew. I think her su long form is Oda's best character design, I think her combat style is cool and unique, and I love her personality. The moments where she freaks out over ordinary things like an oven always make me laugh. I think she'd be a great addition. I just truly don't think the story is being set up that way. I don't remember WCI well enough to comment on the last point, but I think Wano is more important than you give it credit for, including Ussop taking over the role as lookout. If you made an argument that convinced me I would be happy, because I think Yamato is joining either way, so Carrot joining as well would be nothing but a good thing to me.

Yamato and Carrot do have same goals want to "go on adventure seeing the world".
Carrot has these advantages
1.She had history with few of strawhat 3 arcs (mainly nami, Sanji, Chopper, Brook, and Jimbei)
2. she might have a possible role on the crew (other characters can take that from her)
3. Losing her mentor figure in real time. (that we barley no anything about there relationship beside getting gauntlets )
4. some encouragement moving forward and understand the strawhats can be something special.
5. Selfless

Disadvantaged
1. Carrot doesn't have a story centric arc that entirely focus on her as a character
2. She doesn't have main antagonists that has Hinder progress
3, Most of her personal trauma from the enemies that effect her on personal level have already been resolve by side characters who are non straw hats.
4. Doesn't have haki

Yamato has these advantages
1. Yamato has had story centric arc that center around her as a character since act 3
2. sad past going for her
3. The main protagonist (kaido) has her Hinder progress throughout her life for 28 years
4. Has interaction with Luffy and Ace about her own personal goals what she wants do with her life
5. showing her importance with in the arc she is involved in . Without her involvement the arc it would drastically change
6. Since she is Kaido's child she is going to face some Major Discrimination based on her own bloodline. Most likely get wanted poster
7. Yamato's having 3 form of haki
8. Luffy putting trust into her doing something for him
9. Yamato has bunch advisements and marketing hyping her up to be next strawhat.

The thing is it has never be the case in the story. A strawhat is ALWAYS introduced very early with a capacity for a post. Those are shadowing, they are important.

Now, we are already very late in the introduction of Yamato, we already know most of what we must know about her. And right now, we are bless with 0 introduction for a capacity to any post whatsowever.. for her. So I ask you, do you think Oda will change his pattern and wait for the end of the arc to introduce a capacity of Yamato for a post, and if so, to what post ?
