Swordsman and samurai are not different. Samurai is the name of swordsman in Wano.

Imo at brst Zoro can be on par with Luffy. Afterall Luffy is the MC and Zoro isn't. Then at this point we need still to see Zoto go all out yet since the time skip Oda focused obly on Luffy, he get an hard fight with Doffy, extreme with Kata and stole his FS while Zoro had some cool one liners but no real improvement/focus/gain since the start of the time skip. He now got a new sword but this si the first real focus/training he get since time skip while Luffy had plenty.

So to make it short Luffy has way more chances to be stronger than Zoro than equal. To say this we woyld need another end of Thriller bark moment.

Kaido said only samurai. Samurai are the one who learn kendo, bushido code and uses katana, are japanese. Not hard to understand. Zoro, Oden and scabbards are based on japanese samurai.
Roger and Mihawk don't follow bushido code, they don't have a katana, probably didn't learn the kendo.

And no samurai doesn't mean swordsman. Swordsmen from western countries are not at all samurai, they are just swordsman.
Thought it was easy to understand, or are we gonna change the definition of a swordsman which exists since 2000 years for a manga ? Lmaoooo

The fact no WSS is mentioned in the old gen doesn't mean no WSS existed. It's pure logic no. Nothing implies Roger wasn't honestly.
