This is me telling you that I have more knowledges on the subject, not more intelligence or that I'm "smarter". I know that because most people here don't understand the narration of the story and because at every corner I need to make long essay to have a glimps of hope that they will understand why specific plot points are actually not what they think they are.

You are confusing intelligence with knowledge.

You guys think that I think that I'm smarter. I'm not. I don't even count the number of times where I told you that I did a LOT of mistakes.

I'm not Vegapunk, and that's a reason why people here don't understand this story. Vegapunk was a genius, his lack of failure made him think that he knew everything about himself. And therefore completely underestimated his greed and demonized his impredictibility and disruptive self.

I've failed my entire life. In fact I'm failing right now on this forum and IRL. I know that I'm not smart because I know just how bad I can screw things up sometimes. To know what I know now, I had to understand first that I knew nothing.

That's why I'm so sure of myself in the places where I'm not a failure. So, when I'm telling you guys that this story is good and that this forum is negative, do not reject everything I say.

Reject me if you want. I don't care, I will most likely won't be on this forum for much longer, but THINK about what I say. Check around you. Keep the doubt alive. Start reading the story on your own, take a break, put some music during your experience, take a snack..

Don't pressure your expectation, just enjoy what is coming.

And come back to it with a more critical mind, search for meaning and maybe flaws.. but don't do it because other people are doing it to.

I swear in the name of Usopp : One Piece is the story of the century. For so many reasons !

You won't have the occasions to enjoy this story this way in your life twice.

Do not waste it.
This dude thinks life is a soap opera

You should read the Bible it's more interesting story with prophesy and connected plot lines, anyway, while you really should stop defending this manga. I doubt that Oda write this story, maybe he is dead already phahaha. Becase for me it is clear, someone who wrote the begining of egghead didn't know even how this arc will end.

The dude is the living embodiment of this meme
Maybe yes.

It doesn't mean that I'm wrong tho.

Not my kind of story, sorry.

Casefor me it is clear, spmeone who wrote the begining of egghead didn't know even how this arc will end.
You know.. there is a big chance that the end of Egghead was conceptualized before the beginning of Alabasta..

btw I started reviewing anime and manga cause I know I m good enough to critic them

- find out York is the traitor : he did
- create fake memories : That would not have changed anything
- destroy/transfer all the data you researched. : That would not have changed anything, the deed was done
- 💀 York : Same thing, that would have changed nothing
- send message out to the world: Without his own death, the world would not have believed him
Maybe I should've said "what vegapunk should've done." I guess you're not as smart as you try and project huh :milaugh:

Honestly guys, my opinion might have changed after more thought. I did a course in short story writing and honestly think Oda might be a crazy good writer:

- I like how Oda sets up the validity of the memory erasure. He has York say earlier that he's a terrible liar and actor, so astute readers will know if he didn't erase his memory he might let slip the plan.
Then in the flashback he shows an interaction where Vegapunk lies straight to her face and convinces her easily; this was good writing, because it is a reflection of York's life as a human toilet where she doesn't get much social interaction, and therefore didn't develop the skills to understand Vegapunk as well as she thinks.

- The broadcast had many subtilities. Vegapunk first says he'll predict the rise in sea levels to lend credibility to his claims.
Then, he contradicts himself by saying he already measured the earthquake and rise in sea levels. This is genius, because it shows that the regular populace is generally not that smart: a subtle reflection of the real world.
This is further qualified by people blindly assuming Vegapunk on his word that he's actually dead, and that he actually created the broadcast on the day that he did. People tend to become blind to propaganda when they live under an evil regime, which Vegapunk is of course a part of.

- Vegapunk designing the authority chip to have Bonney as its highest-level user just above the Gorosei is so good. Earlier we see Saturn say that since he is a scientist himself, Vegapunk knows better than to try to outsmart him. Yet, Saturn was completely unaware of this addition to the authority chip. This is genius level writing, because Saturn was simply too arrogant to see it. Classic tale of hubris leading to one's downfall.

A surface-level reader might think this design decision from Vegapunk is completely r*tarded (biased readers), but it's actually not. It's really good because Oda gave a REALLY SMALL HINT earlier that since Saturn is an expert scientist himself, he would notice something like Vegapunk putting himself higher on the authority list. What's that? "But he put Bonney in"? Simple human error, we make mistakes all the time. What, you think the Vegapunks - Pythagoras, Edison, Atlas, Shaka - are some kind of robots or something?

If you don't agree, honestly it's okay, you have a lot to learn still like I used to.

I know you think you made a genius move. but you are just proving my point. Being that you don't have any

:suresure:

And you are reduced to focus on details that are non pertinent to find problems that are not even there

But props for trying
