Nothing hinges on Kizaru being ignored for Saturn. Its similar to how Katakuri was the focus in WCI, not Big Mom.

Except Katakuri was a serious fight from the beginning with people legitimately arguing Luffy wasn't going to win because Katakuri was too strong for him.

OK. This is precisely what I mean. You have your agenda. Let's wait until the arc ends.

Because there's a big difference in Luffy needing to take Kaido down as Kaido was still the guy who would drop Onigashima and kill them all. And Kizaru, who is the secondary threat here.

Agendas aside no one is going all out, as everyone points, the narrative is stalling the story to resolve the Saturn Bonney Kuma plot.

I also temptingly doubting that Kizaru is the highlight of this Arc, he may be kept for another arc, with Saturn taking the lead while Kizaru seizes York

Other way around is just as likely...if not more. Kizaru doesnt benefit from obtaining Mother Flame and York, Saturn does. Saturn is the one working at the whim of someone above even him.

Thats my point, Kizaru has more personal connections to characters in this arc over Saturn, whos only met VP once.

I agree that we all need to wait several more chapters to see who truly gets the focus with Luffy, but in my opinion with Kizaru getting exposed and showcased combatively, it makes far more sense for him to lose here. We arent entirely sure yet of Saturn "will" go all out or need to.

@Durableguy it does not matter whatsoever. I can state that Kizaru exudes more a Katakuri presense in an arc where Saturn is the looming threat, while also comparing the state of the fight to Kaido.

Also, i said nothing about Kaido save for Gear 5 joking around with both character.

You just arguing out of spite or what?

Saturn clearly means something.

1. He controls the pacifista.
2. He sees Luffy and thinks, "Nika" not "it's that damn strawhat pirate"
3. He will hurt Luffys friends. Sanji and Franky are right there.

kaidou and BM received every attack because they wanted to show they are stronger than supernova. Kaidou had time to escape bajrang 100 times and chose to take it

Kizaru is fast enough to dodge most attacks Luffy uses and will take any chance to escape the fight and go after his target. Luffy can not waste haki on attacks he know will be dodged
