Tbh I feel like anything Oda does will be breaking the mold with Greenbull. It’s next to impossible to make him sympathetic to Luffy right now so with that X’d out, we have a lot of unique possibilities.

I do agree, especially with how he created antagonists and their underlings. It’s been standard since Skypeia and is rather dull.

The One Piece fandom spent years telling Oda he should stick to the Enies Lobby formula

Now you want him to not do it?
Bipolar much?
Fine, go back to enies lobby
write arcs that are deeply personal to the heroes.

instead we get these clusterfuck arcs with 50 new characters and Luffy befriending each one. Why is kaido bad? Did he do anything to luffy specifically? no he hurt tama and momo therefore he is bad.
^^This type of crap is ruining OP.

It worked pre-skip, because then instead of tama and momo, the main villain was fucking with a member of the straw hats. But in the post skip this arc style just doesn't work anymore. Especially because there are far too many characters and Oda spends so much time on brand new characters he pulled out of his ass.

There isn't a single moment in the post skip that is remotely comparable to Luffy vs Usopp. Oda tried to invoke that shit with Luffy vs Sanji but it was completely different.

Luffy vs Usopp was us watching the crew fall apart. Oda has never done something like that post skip. WCI is the most SH centric arc of the post skip and even there, sanji's arc takes a backseat to all the BMP stuff.

Wano is the proof that Oda is so far unable of changing his obsolete formula, it combines all the flaws of Enies Lobby, Dressrosa and Whole Cake Island arcs such as annoyingly high plot armor and convenience, annoying subplots wasted on minor characters, absurd writing situations, characters joining the Straw Hats alliance too easily, padding and too long story, cringeworthy and narm drama; the whole in worse.

This arc proves that Oda hasn't leaned from his mistakes and the criticisms about Dressrosa and WCI.

Nah, the sales are good with this formula, maybe they decreased in the years but the value is still extremely high. So this is a signal he has to keep using the same exact formula. If he takes a risk his sales risk going down and that is not an option. Economics are king in the end.

Let the straw hats kidnap Greenbull and use him as leverage for whatever transpired at the Reverie.
I don't the gorosei give a fuck about one admiral, they would give promote some other candidate and give him a hax fruit.

I don't think we will see any formula post-Wano.This is supposed to be the original plot were Luffy takes on the 4 yonko to find the op and become PK.These last few chapters have been great.

Aramaki,Akainu and BlackBeard need to be antagonist.Kizaru gives me self serving vibes,i think he would betray the WG if it was in his best interest.

Lee33 is so mentally uncapable that even if Oda does something extremely similar to what he asked (Instead of using Greenbull as an hostage takes Vegapunk, probably one of WG's strongest assets, and turns it against them) he is blind to it.
Now, if this is a voluntary blindess, it's just a malicious fanboy, still bitter that Naruto last third is complete dogshit.
If this is just a lack of reading understanding, again, not much you can expect from a Naruto fanboy.

oh and btw Lee33 also loves an opera where a good 90% of the enemies are original Good guys that get to be redeemed in the last moment and do a complete 180 of their ideology to blow Naruto. And then he complains about originality.

That bullshit mentality of taking risks and forgetting outdated formula made Dressrosa, WCI and Wano that big and Nika a thing.
