She was, much more than Kaido was. Pretty much every time she was against the Straw Hats or their allies she was handicaped, dumbed down, nerfed and clowned. Instead of treating her as a Yonko and top tier Oda made a circus of her performances in battle save for a very few moments against people who aren't Straw Hats or allies. Of all the shit writing and fighting Oda has ever written, the way he handled Big Mom is on a whole superior class of its own.

Yes they beat big mom stop trying to over analyze a fight that's already been shown and stated what happened. Kid was more highlighted and law attacks are more of a threat because he does internal damage and he bypasses durability all together. Yet despite all that big mom was never knocked out nor kill by any of the these attacks kid and law dished out despite the damage they done to her. It just shows how much durable big mom is in general and the endurance she has display. Remember kid and law attacks do more damage than any of Luffy's attacks because all he does is punches and kicks whereas their attacks on big mom would kill most characters that's why big mom got her arm and ribs broken from each of these two's attacks.
Simply put Luffy's attacks are designed to knock the opponent out. Kid and law's attacks are designed to kill.

Kid and Law never had the ability to KO BM by themselves. Linlin knew this and hence underestimated them. She was taking them seriously. But not as seriously as she needed to.

what makes you think that it would ko law in the first place? We already know kaido couldn't do it with his thunder bauga technique.
no they have the abilities kill her but big mom is not allowing that to happen. Remember how she broken her arm and she use her soul powers to repair them to the point it never happen. She knows what attacks to watch out for and when to block/dodge.

Obese mommy was definitely stronger than those 2 young jobbing losers. But because of shounen story she lost. Its that simple. If Oda had balls he would have killed off those 2 with her. Also imagine if one the straw hats died during the story, obviously that is not happening lol, which contributes to the lack of stakes the series has.
