I feel somehow Shanks offscreened to Blackbeard or so is more likely now, as much as I HATE that idea. Bleach, Naruto and FT soured me way too much on that happening too. I really hope Oda proves that wrong though, I pray for it.
I knew this would be too good to be true, a fully canon movie was too much to ask for. And Luffy being forced to be the MC AGAIN, sigh. I swear if even Rocks Pirates got a movie, Luffy would still be the MC like how Stampede was supposed to be about Roger pirates and Bullet?

No. The film is going to cover canon information of Shanks that Oda is scrapping from the manga.
Oda initially refused a Shanks movie (despite it being proposed to him several times) because he wanted to include it in the manga:
And yet he finally relented and decided to go with the movie. So it sounds to me like he scrapped some of Shanks' manga plot from the manga and decided to show that off in a movie.
To be very honest, this makes me update against Shanks playing an antagonistic or villainous role in the manga itself (why cover it in a movie if you're going to show it off in the manga).
If Shanks is an antagonist/rival or villain in this movie, he would almost certainly not be one in the manga.

I'm just being paranoid tbh as how Oda handled Big Mom now and that I've seen too many top tier characters get offscreened after being hyped for years and such in other series.
I should probably have more faith in Oda especially as I've argued relentlessly on here before against the idea of Shanks being offscreened and even killed butironically this news about Film Red has really thrown me for a loop and left me very worried and confused.
I really hope Oda isn't insane or silly enough to actually do this ofc. Shanks is way too important from the beginning and to Luffy plus being a Yonko too ofc, so surely he will still get far better treatment than that?
I'm really hoping the movie is just serving to warm up for his arc around the same time and compliment it and hype it up. Now we know it's somewhat non-canon at least if not mostly ofc, that means also Oda must have a lot planned for Shanks in the manga canonically ofc.
He did have Shanks meeting with the Gorosei and be the one to take Kidd's arm for a reason too ofc.

Yeah that is very much true too, Oda has consistently made Shanks look awesome and good in many ways from the beginning until now. Its only getting better over time!
I still hold out that hes the strongest Yonko personally and will look the most supreme as a fighter, in speed, skill and intelligence out of all of them but we'll see ofc! An "ordinary human" standing equal amongst all these actual titans with broken as fuck DFs, some of the strongest use of CoC we've ever seen, becoming a Yonko with just 1 arm, being rivals with the WSS/WGS and held in high regard by Kaido and clashing equally with Whitebeard!
Although Kaido may be the strongest Yonko ofc but I am biased towards Shanks and I feel Oda wants to be the most unexpected Yonko, the one last one of the OG Yonkos, the one with the lowest bounty (although bounties are not truly for powerscaling but still) and least likely to be the strongest logically and from first appearances to actually be the strongest! Thinking about typical Shonen power escalation, Shanks should be stronger then! Blackbeard as well! Shanks has FAR more stability and dare I say competence than Kaido and BM especially which make a big difference too ofc! No gifters or DF spam and such....

There is a big assumption being made that he's going to be the main villain/antagonist., and I don't get why anyone thinks this at this time. Their interview clearly hints at the reveals being much smaller than you think, not huge revelations spoiling the main plot.
Think "Laugh Tale" in Stampede. A canon event in a non-canon film, and even then it was entirely retouched on in the manga.

There is a very clear difference between how he treats BM vs how he treats OG characters like Shanks and Blackbeard. I would not worry about this.
She is also not intrinsic to Luffy's story not an antagonist he needed to beat. Shanks is featured in every ToC for every volume, is tied to Luffy's endgame, and has been teased to be be involved with something shady as early as the 900's. This is extremely recent and I will never understand why people think Oda will ever shortchange Shanks, who is everything to Luffy in this story.
I think people need to stop thinking of Shanks and Blackbeard having their own isolated "arc" though. They are part of the endgame plot, something that will be way bigger than Wano. That much is clear by how he hides them

Shanks not a movie exclusive or created character so this doesn't work. Also watch him not even be the main antagonist/rival of the film.
Background Canon elements does not equate him eliminating literally one of the most important characters from the story. It literally says we will find out "some" things about Shanks and you take that as a full manga story replacement lol.
I think we all need to just chill and wait until more info in the film comes out. We don't even know any of the films characters yet.
