What catched my interested here was Kids specific wording with "... a punching attack... ". Sounds for me like he figured a way to hurt Kaido, but not through punching. He figured something else.

So this could mean blade users may be able to hurt Kaido if they got Ryuo but it is not that simple for brawlers?

The strength difference between each individual is debatable.

Out of the two groups, Zoro will stand out more than Killer the way Luffy will stand out more than Kidd/Law.

Thats what i take from the facts that Luffy needs ryou to hurt him, while Zoro and Killer are able to hurt him slightly with the blades (without Ryou).
