Wrong.
With Brook, Big Mom was floating in midair on the cloud and preparing to attack. Before she attacks she told them how she will cut their ship in half to find the cake. Brook then makes a perverted statement towards Big Mom. Why she's reacting to that he attacks her. Big Mom never attacked.
He needed the perverted statement to throw Big Mom off. I'm not hating on him for that. It was a smart move but that doesn't mean his situation was the same as Zoro's situation.
With Zoro, Big Mom was running full speed at Luffy to attack him with Prometheus. Zoro ran at full speed and countered her attack.
Zoro was able to get to Big Mom before she could get the Luffy. Big Mom was closer to Luffy than Zoro was.
People need to stop underestimating Zoro and Dragon Kaido's speed.
Zoro has proven he is fast several times post time skip. He blitzed Killer, Apoo, and Big Mom attack which is really Big Mom. He just aimed for the attack instead of Big Mom.
Let's look at Kaido Dragon mode speed.
Luffy was right in front of Kaido face and aiming to hit him in his head. Kaido was fast enough to move his head out if the way. Luffy hit him just above his scar.
Yes he did get hit. Why, because he decided to move his head up instead of going down. If you would have went down Luffy might have missed. Luffy still didn't hit Kaido where he was trying to hit him at.
Let's look at his encounter with Zoro. Zoro is above Kaido and he evades the attack. You don't see Kaido above Zoro after the attack. He still below him which means he didn't move up.
I understand that Kaido in dragon mode is quite large so it will take more time to move his entire body but that doesn't mean he can't move parts to his body at fast speeds.
