Aah, well I believe:
Hybrid Kaido (high top tier) > Base Kaido (Mid top tier) > Dragon Kaido (low top tier).

It's not like Luffy/Zoro are fighting exclusively Dragon Kaido. And hell, the Kaido they're fighting has already gone hybrid.

I don't feel comfortable about calling Dragon Kaido a top tier anymore. Dude is literally a punching bag if it weren't for his crazy durability. An advanced COA user like Rayleigh or Garp would destroy Dragon form even at this age tbh. Even then the WG couldn't successfully put an already injured Dragon Kaido down and one of them got eaten by him. Doubt they'd be more successful in one on one battles.

Feats aside, how can we accept that Base Kaido > Dragon Kaido?
It goes against the very concept of Zoan fruits. Being mythical should enforce this concept even more, not go against it.

It's because of those feats.

Dragon!Kaido has the worst of feats. Like he was just a punching bag.

• Vs Pre Udon Luffy
  • Dragon
    • G3 knocked him around and forced out of his transformation
  • Base
    • Boundman was oneshot
• Vs Scabbards
  • Dragon
    • He was getting diced up, and repeatedly damaged by the Scabbards
  • Base
    • Once he decided to defeat them, he low diffed them
• Vs Supernova
  • He was used as a punching bag for 2 chapters straight
  • He literally has only one successful attack (Boro Breath), and that was because Mama knocked Zoro down so he couldn't cut it.
  • All his other attacks were easily neutralised by Zoro
  • He quickly switched to Hybrid Form after Zoro's Kokujo Ou Tatsumaki

Like Dragon!Kaido's feats are utter crap. If Oda didn't want us to think Base Kaido > Dragon!Kaido, he shouldn't have drawn Dragon!Kaido as such a jobber.

No one can tell me how Dragon!Kaido beats Santoryu Zoro except by special pleading to Kaido being stronger than Zoro (true, but Dragon form is useless against Zoro).

• • How does Dragon!Kaido hurt Zoro?

Everytime Zoro ''hurt'' Dragon Kaido was when the man was distracted by something else, if its in a 1vs1s he will have his full attention towards Zoro, and i dont see Zoro doing half the shit he pulled then.

First of all, Kaido can fly, thats a big bonus in itself.

Then he can use attacks other than his fire breath or wind, he has a lightning attack too and i'd wager he has an ice one(this is just a theory, but given that chinese dragons control the elements and that in the games he has an ice attack too, i wouldnt put it past him)

Meaning, he can evade Zoro's attacks by flying or doding, he was shown to be agile enough to do so, and then just spam lightning and ice attacks until Zoro loses.

There is no way Zoro wins this 1vs1 against Dragon Kaido from what we've seen so far.

hybird is about to be worse in durablity and endurance . but makes its up with speed and strength and abilties whch are weaker but more versatile

Big Mom and Kaido permanently commenting on ENMA - not on Zoro - they realize that this sword is Special. Kaido says he senses the IDENTITY of Odens haki in the sword. Tengu told us which Zoro demonstrated that Enma makes something with the users Haki, call it whatever you want, forcing it out, absorbing it (maybe the best word because Zoro stated „give it back“ and his arm got small). So we have a sword that absorbs the users Haki and now we have Kaido sensing the IDENTITY of Odens Haki. Why is this so impossible for you?

BTW yeah when my child’s are going to speak for the first time I will definitely ask: Is this the language you were learning? Seems obvious to me. Not.

Zoro using enma efficiently enough to remind Kaido of Oden somehow means Zoro is chaneling Oden's haki from beyong the grave?

He is sensing the same presence that he sensed when Oden cut him and gave him his big ass scar, what do you want him to say? He also said the scabbards had "oden's haki", what do you make of that, did Oden also store his haki into his underlings?
