Vegapunk is definetly hiding something from the WG. Momo's fruit may end not a failure afterall. Momo could very well be the deciding factor to bringing down Kaido at the end of Wano if that's true.

The biggest reason why this can't be Oden (all assuming that Oda didn't just completely lose the plot): He has his two swords with him.

We know that one can only travel forward in time though and we also know the whereabouts of the real Enma and Ame no Habakiri in the current timeline (Zoro has Enma, Hyori has Ame no Habakiri).

With his "you can only move forward in time" restriction, Oda basically eliminated the possibility of two Enmas/Ame no Habakiris existing in the same timeline.

Therefore we can conclude that those two swords, that the "Oden" of the last panel wears, are fake swords.

This Oden is an impostor.

Catarina Devon showing up in Wano at this point would just throw the whole conflict into chaos if all the Blackbeard Pirates showed up. I'd prefer if Blackbeard made a move at the very end of the arc, if at all. I highly doubt it's Yamato or Momonosuke. No need for a future version of him to help out, the little dude should grow up and atleast start to build up on the qualities he showed when he was about to be executed rather than rely on future him. It's definitely not Bon Clay. Would make no sense that he escaped from Impel Down (why would he even want to and how would he?) and came all the way to Wano.

Exactly... it's why Shonen jump is the one that should have gotten the hate, NOT KUBO... if the hate was directed at shonen Jump, they would have tried to damag control themselves and give Kubo maybe a bit more time, if the fans actually rioted against them...

but the hate was only directed at Kubo, and they didn't blame Shonen jump, and then Kubo got just screwed, thus rushing the ending to end it by 1 freaking volume....

can you imagine one day the CEO of Shonen jump wakes up, tells Oden to end One Piece in mere 2-3 volumes at best? LOL

Bleach is the goat and you are right this was one of the reasons, Kubo made plot twists with out cheap stuff like bringing the dead.
Ironically enough almost every series that used time travel had resulted in bad writing. It always just leaves too many plot holes. But writers still use it like they dont learn from others. Not that it matters because we still dont know if this is the case here.

These swords aren't Enma and Ame no Habakiri, look at the design, these swords are normal swords!!
