And Luffy vs Kaido beginning. This is the perfect chance to pan away now hopefully. We finally start the Sanji vs King plotline, with Marco being defeated next chapter.
After seeing this insane fight at rooftop, fights under skull will be underwhelming unless if it has some thematic connect, struggle, SHs show something new and win after struggling

Marco not going down. He can leave the dome, he has better role: healing SNs at roof. BM and Kaido are a bit much for them, so maybe Marco can balance this difference.
Not sure why you think thatss impossible. Hes done it virtually every arc with matchups. DR has like 24 chapters of pure battles. Nearly 12 of those are fights that have nothing to do with Luffy/Doflamingo.
In fact, this SHOULD be the arc where we get 20 chapters of fights below the dome. It's warranted because each strawhat needs a growth fight, which they are getting.
IMO i dont want a 4 year arc, issue is Oda spent 1.5 years with the boring prewar stuff, that easily could have been cut down as well
This is what we have below the dome
Robin, Brook
Nami, Usopp
Marco
Chopper
Jime
Franky
Then
Scabbards
Momo
Yamato
Yakuza
Drake
Then there is the flower capital, and all the additional stuff in between. Oda is going to find a way to wrap up the supporting stuff sooner rather than later, but I do not think he is going to spend that time drawing all those fights, each SH from here out will get their one chapter and then spend most of it back on the roof because that's where the main story is
