I will absolutely take a massive spiritual and public L the day Mihawk is shown to be stronger than Shanks but until then I'm a firm believer the status quo is closer to Shanks>=Mihawk given how both characters are treated in universe and feats wise, make no mistake Mihawk's title is hype and a valid argument for superiority but it's not absolute since they have an unclear rivalry and have never fought at their best, its origins could be as simple as Mihawk being unrivaled by anyone that has faced him over the years after he saw Shanks as a cripple.

CoC like all other haki types are general buffs and apply to all combat types.
CoC is not a combat type, it is a buff for all combat types.
