He never needed Law's help to attack Kaido. He used Law to defend Luffy and cut Kaido's Boro breath which was aimed at the sky.
Kaido uses flame clouds to fly which he can use even im base so I'm confused as yo why you think he can't fly in hybrid.
Regardless, none of this matters. King is a close range fighter so who cares if he can fly. Zoro has long range attacks as well. Monet & Kaku could fly yet Zoro fought them. Queen can't fly but Sanji can yet they're still fighting.

I don't understand why people are dissing Jinbei for fighting Who's Who. Being the strongest of the F6, I would imagine Who's Who is about Yonko commander 4 level. If the beast pirates were set up like the BM pirates with 4 commanders then he would probably be a calamity. I thought Jinbei was YC3 level, but YC4 isn't bad. As far as having difficulty fighting him in base, I think y'all are putting to much stock in the realism of the manga. The only reason he's still in base after an hour is because Oda isn't ready to focus on the fight yet. If he had shown the whole fight right away he would have gone hybrid after just a few minutes. This is not nearly enough to powerscale. Don't be surprised if it's still a mid diff, though as a Jinbei fan I'm personally hoping to see him pushed to his limits.
