Remember the chapter where Oda gave a hype moment towards Kid and Law by having them use their awakening against Big Mom, and there were some people who thought Big Mom got defeated. Only for her to easily get back up in the next chapter and power up, even though this chapter is giving us a hype moment for Kid and Law however I wouldn't be surprised if Oda gives a hype moment for Big Mom in the next chapter.

Thing is since the roof top there goal was always for them to stop a BM and Kiado team again .
That is why Kidd went after her , they going to try to win but it's a damn hard fight but Kidd and Law goal is stop her .
What ever way it happen or why it happen should not even matter at this point.

Im disappointed that the fight has been offpaneled but I can't expect Law and Kidd to look horrific no matter how much I stan her. They were always bound to have cool moments even at the cost of making the fight believeable.

I mean, I want them to look great too. I've been spamming "Kid will shine more" for as long as I can remember.

Probably because Law isn't in as bad a position as Kid. They both will shine; I expect Kid to shine better though.

Oda did Kid dirty at first, but he's slowly redeeming my man. Kid's gonna shine the most after Luffy in this arc.

Their names will shine as much as Luffy's after Wano.

As I always said, the WG captain duo's gonna shine a lot in the upcoming chapters. Wait for them to shine before you put them over characters that have already shined. Let the others have their moments.

Like I've always said to you, Kid's rivalry with Luffy will always be relevant and he is bound to shine sooner or later.

I'll be happy either way. Even if Kid and Law won't beat Big Mom by themselves, they will definitely shine enough to justify their hype.

I wouldn't be surprised if 1039 is fully their fight chapter. Don't know if 16 pages is enough to beat her, but it'll either likely end then or 1040. I'd gladly take 2 full chapters for Big Mom and some character development for Kid/Law, followed by a good climactic win.
