Can't disagree with what you said.

But I still see that as less damaging than BM actually getting Koed lol

Atleast this way one can say she is monster enough to tank massive attacks just to lose memory 🤣
I don't understand one thing. The Luffy claim. So Luffy won't fulfill his promise to Katakuri. Because what's the point of Luffy fighting Big Mom after she gets potentially beaten by Kidd and Law? By the point of their future 1 vs 1 Luffy will just demolish her with no vaseline.

You guys should know these "big" chapters take a lot of effort to draw. They're not a casual chapter.

Oda is not going to set it up with a previous "X vs. Y" finisher title, use ultimate attacks, give big speeches about the "New Era", and "I'm Big Mom!", and then just keep going.

Do you think BM has gone all out in this fight?

Do you think SN taking yonkous down without actually yonkous showing all of their cards is actually good portrayal or fight?
Seems like it, she's using combo homie attacks that we've rarely seen and made a big combo homie that we've never seen before for her character period. Look at the way she protected herself from Kid's bull attack with the building. That kind of desperate defense is not someone who is playing around anymore. Not to mention that she also used her powers in other ways we've never seen before such as taking a year of her lifespan to power up (that alone shows how serious she's taking this fight). A year is A LOT of lifespan to give especially in your old age. Plus giving life to her bones in order to keep on fighting. She also had a "final stand" moment when she took Kid's attack head-on, which again we've seen from multiple fights in the series.

I get it if you're disappointed that she didn't use AdvCoc on them but this fight has reached a point where keeping it going just to have her show something we've seen many, many times this arc (from other characters) doesn't really add anything.

I made this write-up on why I think this fight has reached its ending. There's nothing more for Kid, Law, or Big Mom to give that can improve on what we've already seen.

Main problem is seeing that promise as if Oda was the one talking and not Luffy, i.e someone that didnt know BM would go to Wano

But why is he going this?
I think it's time based
I don't think he's good at predicting his own deadlines
Probably he constantly adds content which I think is the main root of people's problems with the series

But I whole heartily believe that he wants to end it as soon as he can

He's the only one who's been constantly going to this long without long hiatuss or switching to monthly like jojos did
Hunter hunter Conan ippo berserk (rip)
Lots of them have been published for longer but no ones kept his schedule

Which is probably wearing down on him at this point
