What if Joyboy and Imu were besties. They planned to destroy the world and choose a select few to board the Noah. Zunisha found out about the plan and snitched which led to Joyboy cursing it.
The countries forming the World government defeated Joyboy. With his last ounce of strength, Joyboy used his *magic powers:suresure: to create the Devil Fruits. He saved the *Gomu Gomu for himself and placed his spirit in it.
Imu trying to avenge his/her bestie's death infiltrated the WG to become it's leader. Imu planned to kill Luffy and resurrect Joyboy. This is why Imu keeps Joyboy's strawhat safe in a secret vault.
This could be why Shirley saw that "Luffy" would destroy Fishman Island.

Who exactly did Zoro fight before King?? Face it, Zoro and the rest of the SHs coasted their way to multiple powerups

Marco was the whole time a support character in this arc so i don't see him fight Kaido seriously, Law and Kid doesn't have the power to fight seriously, Zoro is unconcious. it will be Yamato and the scabbards who are still able to fight and maybe Sanji (still doubt that though), but i assume Oda would make him do something we have seen him 8 chapters ago for the last time, usually comes some heroic moment after that. anyway Luffy will talk short to Zunisha and Momo next time and then he will go down maybe he will have some heroic moment at the end of the next chapter, when he comes to save the others.
