I feel like a lot of people are insisting this isn't the end but can't really present a vision for what would actually happen next.

The samurai of Wano are putting their faith in Luffy and welcoming death so long as their country is free. Luffy is putting his faith in Momo knowing that if he defeats Kaidou without someone to lift Onigashima then he will lose everything.

Does anyone seriously expect that either of those won't be rewarded? That the samurai happily laying down their lives for their people's freedom will bring them back into slavery? That Momo will fail and it will be Kaidou that saves everyone by tanking Luffy's hit?

This is exactly how I feel. I see a lot of people saying the raid will fail here but they themselves fail to outline where the story would go from there. I would be willing to concede if they could give a reasonable explanation of what happens next. But it seems like the most we get is "it's obvious the raid will fail" or "How can't you all see it?".
@Rootbeer and @Paperchampion23 if you guys have posted more than what I have said above please link it for me. I am very interested in seeing where you guys think this can go and how.

I'm so confused rn, when have I said this?

Luffy is winning and the raid isn't failing. Momo will move the island because Luffy trusts him to. The samurai have accepted their fate and literally state that Kaido is at his limit, as have multiple other people. The lanterns are finally let go, symbolic of Wano's wishes to be free and live, as specified multiple chapters including this one.

What I BELIEVE is happening is as follows:

- Kaido uses his strongest attack against Luffy
- Momo moves the island after finding the resolve to.
- Luffy brings the Fist down and punches Kaido into Wano, with the capital witnessing his attack.


That's it. The raid ends in 1048 or 1049. There's nothing more to it unless a flashback occurs before this happens.

bruh moment. the only thing they could argue this from is that luffy was taking mad damage in this most recent chapter even looked briefly koed but once again this is his big final move. there is no real reason to believe kaido survives this unless he turns on his AWAKENING AND ITS GODZILLA GRABBING LUFFYS HAND AND HE SMASHES HIM AROUND LIKE BAMBAM

The cope and hate is going to be disastrous after the next 2 chapters, mark my words. I have never seen more ridiculous expectations for something so obvious. The chapter virtually spells it all out for you, so how anyone can justify the raid failing or Luffy not winning is beyond stupid to me.

That's because Hyougoro isn't clairvoyant and doesn't know Momo is actively out there trying to catch/move the island if Luffy wins/hits Kaido.

He's saying if he wins, the island drops and they die. If he loses, the island doesn't drop and they are slaves.

Kaido is like katakuri
They are awakened but hype and use haki more
Their stats rely on haki more than awakening

His berserker hybrid form is his awakened form : big dragon nose , muscular body and dragon like eyebrows with sharp teeth

For these guys it all about haki even if you have a df

While awakening is a huge PU for Law, Kid & Doffy
Luffy has top haki mastery and awakening is his trumpcard.
