Ot is not about ungrateful or anything, lol. People obviously get frustrated when you keep doing the same stuff again and again. How many times Luffy say will end this only to continue? How many times momonuske creating clouds thing happen? How many times Orochi has to die when he adds nothing to the plot at this point. Fucking useless stuff. So obvious frustration.
And we have Oda giving statements like why wano is not finished is like adding salt to the wounds. It is clear that this fucker honestly doesn't reread the chapters he has written. If he is so uncaring or oblivious to his own obvious flaws, why would anyone be so called 'grateful' to him?
You do understand a huuuuuge thing regarding Kaido is that he breaks the wills of & subjugates any that oppose him, right? Yet here Luffy is, standing up with a smile & declaring how he WILL win and will surpass Kaido to become King of the Pirates, the entire nation of Wano has been broken.
Wano is the first country we have seen that is directly under control of Pirates/An Emperor. Every other country has been "from the shadows/ treaties with W.G" type rule. Wano is a destitute, depressing, dreary shithole that opened with people being so hopeless we see them about to kill their baby then self before Luffy and Tra-guy showed up with that bounty of food and Non-poisoned water.
You can hate the narrative choice, but pretending it isn't a theme for the arc and is instead Oda spamming "believe it!" after every utterance, trial or job is disingenuous, at best.
