I think the reason Oda didnt make Yamato join now is because she would've ruined the monster trio dynamic. It took Jimbei so long to join for the same reason. Zoro and Sanji are the wings of the pirate king, no other character can or should overshadow their battle prowess. If Yamato joins it will only be after Zoro and Sanji gets enough power ups for Yamato not to overshadow them.

Lastly, Luffy sharing SH flag with Momo was such a nice moment. Wano is officially now the second territory under emperor Luffy!

I said it before, Wano arc seem like a samurai period drama film that Oda tried to copy paste into his pirate shonen manga. One can tell that he adores this kind of story and tried to give his ancient Japanese characters lots of focus and panel time.
Sadly, he ultimately failed to make them interesting or compelling within the context of his shonen pirate manga.

I think it's just age
People expect too much from someone who's nearly 50 years old
You see it in all areas of life, people decline
Oda was consistently great when he was young
His main flaw was not being able to finish this manga in 10-15 years
