This chapter is also a great example of how Oda uses non-canon parts of the story to set up canon elements.
In Film Gold, we saw Lucci outright disrespecting Akainu's authority. People said it didn't matter, but, here we are, on Egghead, with Lucci openly ignoring the fact he's supposed to call in for permission before he fights a Yonkou. Lucci's turn in Film Gold is a lot more interesting to me now.

Nice, fun chapter that gets a lot done and moves things forward. With Lucci suprising us with his awakened Zoan form. Easy 5 stars.
Though Bonney has been kinda dissapointing this arc with how long she's been knocked out due to bugs. I hope she picks it up if/when she wakes up.
Kizaru finally making a move is very exciting indeed. It's been too long since we last seen him in action. I think Oda will put respect in his name when he shows up.

Luffy is out here bringing out Gear 5th like it's nothing and basically toying with Lucci, he is about to whoop some ass after seeing Sentonaru getting injured

Two interesting things in this page:
1. Robin has dedicated doki doki SFX showing her heart beating, a single long panel compared to the other reaction panels, and has shading along with sweating.
Does Robin know something more about this from Dragon/the Revolutionaries?
2. Vegapunk's explanation of Devil Fruit powers is that the users are literally creating their powers and enhancing their powers though their own Will and imagination.
This means that how the original Joy Boy fought compared to how Luffy fights might be very different.
The reason Luffy is able to inflate his bones even though it doesn't make any sense, is because, in his imagination, it does make sense.
Luffy's Fruit stretches. It doesn't just stretch him now, though: his Awakening STRETCHES REALITY.
Luffy wants to change how Wano works, so, his Fruit allows him to change the world LITERALLY.
Gear 5 is the merger of Luffy's Will with the Will of his Nakama and allies.
Luffy becoming Joy Boy ISN'T FATE, it's WILL, it's desire, and there's a giant difference between the two.
As opposed to the initial translation, TCB says DFs are a manifestation of a desired next step in evolution. Initial translations had it more bluntly as the manifestation of desires (way more general).
Anyway, this translation doesn't exclude the possibility of the fruits being bioengineered or created through some other technological means in the past.
For now, I'm taking this wording as figurative language until VP reveals more about DFs.
Another difference - Sussy Stussy now refers to the Seraphs as Pacifista (which they are). The initial translations separated the entities and made it seem like Stussy was talking about the original Pacifista control hierarchy.
VP put the foremost command authority in the hands of the Gorosei it seems so I feel that that piece of info will play a part in the resolution of this arc.
