There's nothing stopping them from having remote-controlled-triggers. It's entirely possible to modify them.
Teach could just rig them so that they'll blow up if they're too far away from him, as well.

Blackbeard seems to treat his officers like Luffy, Shanks, Doffy, and Kaido do; like friends/people he's very close with.
Pre-Time-Skip, Pizarro was openly vying to lead the crew:
Now, Pizarro is openly mindful of not destroying the town because of Teach, but, it doesn't seem like it's out of fear, it's out of respect and a general desire to not cause his captain problems. That's a total 180, Blackbeard seems like a really good Pirate Captain if you're in his elite forces.
I love that we're getting more info on Blackbeard's crew.

I wonder now if Garps blow accidentally set Moria free and others "allegedly" Wang zhi? Might have been kept captive as well. Would be a cool moment if he recognizes Garp for a moment, a little God Valley déjà vu
Hey, let it be more old era bad asses Oda could show us anyone at this point. UROGUE might pop up from all the rubble, and that's how we get him introduced back to the Story. CAPTAIN JOHN Golden Lion Shiki, Silver Axe. I expect some surprise besides Moria
Because the way it was worded kinda reminded me of Impel Down, like there are layers and the more dangerous Guys are down the farthest. Blackbeard was in Impel Down and made it to Level 6 he probably took a little Inspiration from there
