Look IMU eyes, when he transform
Imu wasn't finished with his transformation. In the next panel, when Sabo was running away, Imu's eyes that were behind the Gorosei were blurred out too. The reason they all had blurred out eyes btw is just for artistic purposes. They don't really all have empty eyes, it's just in the context of them being shown as silhouettes, to add to the mystery and emptiness, to have them depicted as bizarre shadows. That's all.

Because this

Is a small indistinct shadow that looks nothing like this giant head

or indeed, like it’s meant at all to be anything distinct we are meant to pay attention to

Whereas this

Looks very like this

And answers why Imu isn’t a silhouette in the last panel despite apparently having already been revealed in the first.
Oda would've absolutely given us a panel showing movement of one of the Gorosei especially when it's something as important as guarding Imu.

5 shadows present clearly drawn and ONE big present on the throne(background)

IF was on the ground, shouldn't he be there with others?
I thought we were talking about eyes not matching? The last page with them has all 6 and even Imu's eyes are blank like the rest.

I think we need to take a step back and realize that none of this even matters. All 6 are in the paneling on the follwing page. Whether or not Oda felt like drawing Blondie properly or not the page before is irrelevant.

the poor dude just takes a bit longer to transform lmao

Blob think is the problem why hide him first time?

Oda would've absolutely given us a panel showing movement of one of the Gorosei especially when it's something as important as guarding Imu.
The priority in that panel is to make sure each figure is clear and has something distinct about them.

Horns
Size
Floating God Ribbon Thing
Bird
Tusks

Which matches the next page.

The big Gorosei is shown further back simply because he’s so big he has to be drawn further back. Otherwise he would overshadow the others.

What you guys are all suggesting is Oda totally shat the bed drawing one of the Gorosei in their big transformation scene.

What I am suggesting is that Imu isn’t even in that panel, all the Gorosei are clear and Imu’s form is still meant to be a mystery, hence in the second panel it is only eyes without a shape.

I think the opposite, I think there’s no way oda would give us a silhouette of imus devil fruit then immediately just show his eyes as Sabo runs away.
The issue is if its Blondie, it goes against basic placement consistency.

- He's next to Saturn when Sabo attacks....ok
- Imu eats the fire, nobody is guarding him on the page
- Next page is a giant shadow, headfirst, crawling down the throne, and not next to Sarurn.
- Then we assume that same shadow is now next to Saturn and not the big eyes as Sab[ runs away?

When we see all, IMU is just ominous present in background
It doesn't feel like he come down to chase Sabo & Cobra and that giant shadow just come down between Ghandi & Saturn

I really doubt this would be such a discussion had Oda really intended for one of the Gorosei to protect Imu imo

Blob think is the problem why hide him first time?
I don't know why Oda chose to do that, maybe to keep the panel cleaner, as Imu's huge body was in the middle. We saw the Gorosei transform and they all had comparable size, none of them was remotely as big as the thing that crawled down the throne.

You would have to explain why one of the Gorosei was suddenly so huge and ended up at the throne.

What's with that mental gymnastics?

Okay but seriously, does anyone seriously think odas going to give a silhouette of imus devil fruit form before we even see imus face?

Like we’ve all been reading one piece for years and we know odas going to hide as much of imus power from us until the arc it’s time for imu to fight.
It's just silhouette. It doesn't matter
In one piece none of the silhouette matches their actual design

It’s not crawling down the throne but handstanding in front of it in order to ensure that the eye are present on the panel.

It’s possible that after smothered Mate the blond gorosei just ran there and transformed as Sabo was falling down in front of Cobra in order to keep Imu from having to do to much because Imus the king and the gorosei are the servants.

And then when Sabo begins to run, the ones chasing him are the gorosei and oda orders them the way they’ve been so we know which is which.

And the consistency problem is, if oda already silhouetted Imus devil fruit in the previous page why is he just eyes in the next? Odas hiding imus power.
