The fact that the WG didn't just kill Ginny in Mariejois and let her coming home.
Yeah her husband might actually not really bad person.
Ginny's husband probably just said Ginny is beautiful when seeing her wanted poster.
Then her parents / other CD did the dirty work of annihilating her troops and kidnapped her to Mariejois. There her husband didn't even actually treated her badly. There was never a rape, Ginny slowly fell in love to her husband.

Now that I have a cooler head, I think this was basically a perfect chapter even though it distressed me. I love when stories can get me to feel riskier emotions like despair and fragile hope. Working under the assumption that someone makes all or most Celestial Dragons pay a heavy price for generations of oppression, I like that Oda basically wiped our faces in the shit so to speak.
Genocide of unnamed characters is cartoonish and impersonal, Ginny's tragedy is much more personal and real to think about. Oda has had implications before, but a large amount of fans chose to believe it was not in the story. This chapter makes it undeniable and presents slavery as the monstrous thing it really is (unlike a lot of manga now a days...).
When I think about it, Kuma's life is painfully realistic outside of the God Valley stuff (which isn't as common these days as colonialism is frowned upon). This grounds the series in a way only Aces death has.

And by doing so he gave the WG – his mortal enemies – the change to build humanoid weapons of mass destruction and allowed them to humiliate him beyond what is reasonable. All for one person's life who has to live as a de-facto orphan and an outlaw while being a child. Lolda surpassed himself again.
