Well is it worth it? And if it happened will there be story? Saturn is a gorosei and they surely could find Kuma anyhow and kill him way before if we think about it realistically and as it happens in the real life but would this story exist if there was realism? No, they couldn't find a fruit is a silly thing too but story wise it isn't. This isn't science fiction so its fine.

It's about execution.
We know the end result of Kuma's story, what he there is connecting the dots.

It is fine that this dude came back once. No need to do it again and again, it's repetitive at this point.

Surely Oda could've found a better way to connect the dots after he got beaten by Kuma the first time?

Yep and another complain is that the flashback is way too long.

For a character like Kuma, I'm fine with this flashback being a bit long.

Also the flashback is for now only 5 chapters, compare that to fucking Oden's flashback and that was even longer.

A character that has been built up for decades and played a huge role in the story was never going to have only 1 or 2 chapters of flashback.

- Kuma is waiting for Nika to come back to liberate him
- Bonney is waiting for Nika to come to liberate her too
- Kuma is freed by Ivankov and Ginny (Revolutionary Army)
- God Valley incident triggered by Ginny
- We even get to see the pirates that fought each other in God Valley (not the fights though)
- Ginny is captured to be wed to a Celestial Dragon
- Ginny contracts Sapphire Scale (blue sapphire) incurable disease
- Sapphire Scales appear on the skin upon sunlight exposure (Nika)
- Blue Sapphire is the gem of Saturn and could be related to him
- Ginny has a daughter that also has Sapphire Scale
- Kuma takes care of her and gives all his love to her
- Kuma goes to Egghead to cure Bonney
- Kuma gives himself in to become the prototype of clone troopers project called Pacifista (Peace Lover)
- Saturn overhears the conversation
- Bonney said to Saturn "you killed my dad"

Very touching flashback that is building towards Saturn being the main villain of Egghead and Nika liberating both Kuma and Bonney from Saturn.

You deserves Flashback like Kaidou's one.

Far better than wasting so many chapters on Kuma's life. Robin had a really long and eventful life. She was part of countless organisations and endured countless betrayal. How did Robin join Crocodile? Was she a founding member of the BW? Not all questions need to be answered in the manga, and sometimes SBS get the job done just fine. Robin's backstory was focused on the Buster Call of Ohara, the key moment of her life, and we all loved it

Yep this is nothing compare to the long Oden flashback we had to go through during the Wano arc.

Oden's flashback was 15 chapters.
