Yep, there is a difference in "Dragon is fucking useless throughout this flashback", "It was stupid letting the king go away like that", "I don't like how this flashback makes characters do completely illogical choices" and stating "The flashback is boring, it has no action", like yeah, it's a flashback after all. Flashbacks are usually intented to be dramatic since it shows the tragedy and struggle of those characters. There's no point in adding extravagant action scenes.

Its same with Luffy as well if you think old kings can be get rid of sorry to say WG is too powerful behind the scenes.

Luffy was able to get rid of Drum kingdom ruler and with the help of WG he came back again . They definitely have potential piggy back riding taht WG supports them .

The only way this flashback is trash is the constant breaks we're getting. And Oda's overall schedule over the last few years has a big part to play in that.

But emotional stories like this one are peak One Piece. Powerscalers can keep crying about the page count because guess what? It's a numerical indicator of something and they do love it when they can use numbers to say something is better than the other

At this point, him being average in strength wouldn't even be a surprise. His charisma is probably what keeps those people around him, though it's weird they stayed after the Ginny and Bekori stuff

You know I'm not the greatest Oda fan under the sun, but I won't slander him for this.
There's an ongoing theme in OP that pretty much everything in the OP world is based on lies and false perception. I mean it goes back all the way to pre ts with Kingdoms thinking their rulers are good guys to even individuals like Katakuri who built a life full of lies and present themselves totally different to what they really are to the empty throne etc...

If Oda is doing this intentional it's actually pretty Brilliant even though I don't like for titles to turn out fraudulent.

Imagine stanning Yonkou, Admirals, Mihawk, WB, Roger etc for over a thousand chapters as the strongest just for them to get cucked by a few old geezers.

To be fair, Admirals' title is the only that holds true so far, whereas Mihawk's title is on its last leg and can't be revived unless he's got some actual feats (whenever that may be).
