If you believe that then that means that same logic needs to apply to Kuma, "Who gives a fuck about this filler Kuma".
Kuma is the furthest character from filler, his story embodies the main theme of the story which is the WG’s 800yrs of oppression
The fact that he is getting this much attention only goes to prove how important he is

Your point makes no sense in this case lol

You want me to make a list of all the characters that have embodied the oppression of the WG? Kuma is not unique in that at all. So tell me all the attention he gets now, what was important in it? What have we learned in this long backstory of Kuma that is "important"?

His race
Relationship with bonney and ivankov
How he got his power and nick name

His race? You do know how many races there currently are in One Piece right? We have Fishmen, Lunarian, three eyed tripe, tonotta, so many races etc. How is knowing his race important? All those races I mentioned suffered from the WG. Oda just keeps recycling the same things over and over again.

You consider how he got his power to be important? One Piece fans man.

None come close to Kuma, he’s had deep ties to the story from the beginning
Pre TS what have we learned
-Ruthless warlord who obeys the WG
-Found it in his heart to accept Zoro’s sacrifice
-Acquainted with Dragon
-Saved the SHs
-Turned into a fully blown machine
-Used as prototype to clone weapons of mass destruction
-Introduced Vegapunk

Countless mysteries regarding his character that need addressing
He’s not just some character that sprung out of nowhere

Quoting myself:
From a clueless little boy who lost his parents, to a priest living a somewhat normal life, then his work as a revolutionary eager to take down the WG, raising his tragic friend's daughter, then being branded as a tyrant and forced to join the Warlord roster, and being forced to become a human machine that ruthlessly obeys the commands of those who detests most so he can save the one he loves most, only to end up as a complete machine devoid of consciousness all while being cloned to become the new face of weapons of mass destruction.

His story is literally the embodiment of the World Government's 800 years of tyranny.
It is so merciless and cruel that a saint like Kuma was bent and twisted terribly enough that he ended up having no remorse about killing his best friend's son (if not for Zoro’s sacrifice that moved him)

So Kuma is more important than Kiado because Kuma appeared 800 chapters ago? That is your reason why Kuma is important?
No, I'm saying Kuma appeared a long time ago and has played a pivotal role in the journey of the Strawhats (Multiple in fact if we also count the end of Thriller Bark and the beginning of Post TS)

This is a self contained backstory that has nothing to do with the main plot. How does this have anything to do with the final saga? It is just a backstory of a character that is not connected to the main plot in any way other than "theme" which can literally be done to any character.

The way Oda tried to connect Kuma to the main plot is by having him reference Nika. That is Oda's lazy way of having Kuma connect to the main plot by him saying "Nika". Kuma knowing the name Nika is the same bullshit Oda did with Kaido referencing "Joy Boy". It didn't amount to anything.

Dozens of characters were oppressed by the WG. This is nothing unique and it is a self contained backstory.

I am not debating whether you like his backstory or not, you can love it, that is fine. I am debating the inconsistent excuses you guys keep giving Oda. If you claim Kaido is filler than by your logic Kuma is filler too and we shouldn't be exploring him to this extent.
