So we are back to countdown piece .
Why is anyone surprised?

Every single major arc in OP has the exact same formula to a tee:

1) Reaching island and splitting up due to some unexpected circumstances.
2) Wandering around meeting the major (good) support characters of the arc.
3) Learning about a huge problem and the villains associated with it.
4) First encounter with the villains which doesn't go as planned.
5) Tragic flashback tied to one of the major support characters.
6) Round two against the bad guys and some time bomb feat is revealed (bomb in Alabasta, Advent of Thunder in Skypiea, Buster Call in EL, sun rising in Thriller Bark, Shinokuni in PH, Birdcage in Dressrosa, cake getting ready at WCI, Onigashima falling in Wano).
7) Solving the time bomb situation and win against the bad guys (most of the time defeating them, sometimes just escaping).
8) Banquet and leave.

It's the exact same thing here at Egghead.

We're at step 6 right now.

That's why I always chuckle when guys talk about OP like it's some Shakespearian masterclass.

I love the manga and its worldbuilding, but in terms of writing it's really just a very standard shonen (nothing wrong with that though).

Lmaoooo, completely true Akai! He actually admitted that too Nika?! LMAO! Literally blinded by agendas?!

Just look at the immense ratio on the poll too, out of 47 votes, 28 = 5 stars, 15 - 4 stars, 3 - 2 stars and then 1 for both 1 star and 2 stars lmfao.

This is like the 9/10 people meme in a nutshell. You really cannot please everyone as some people are so bitterly stuck on agendas when this is a hilariously awesome, badass, exciting chapter. Even myself in my bitterness enjoyed this chapter lmfao.
To be honest, that seems to happen every chapter. There's nothing but trash talk in the spoiler thread and then when the chapter thread is created it's always like 70%+ five or four stars.

You the one who need to touch some grass. This chapter teaches nothing to us. There is no lore. All we get is delay of a possible revelation (or not) to the next chapter. Just hype. And you are the one here talking about agenda.

I already said Kizaru looking bad now doesn't mean much until we gets fully defeated.

This chapter was only about, Vegapunk recorded broadcast and people getting ready to watch while Gorosei getting ready to stop before the 10min time line (Alabasta bomb, Enel something I don't remember, Enies Lobby buster call, Thriller Bark sunrise, Impel Down Ace being escorted, Marineford Ace execution, Fishmen Island Noah ark, Punk Hazard Venoum Slime, Dressrosa Bird Cage, Wano Onigashima bomb) and that's it. Nothing important to the LORE as you try to claim instead just a small stuff fight related which you said to not care.

As a LORE chapter it is 0 since it has none. As a fighting chapter it is 1 because it show us a bit of how Kizaru and Saturn interacts with Nika powers.
Agreed. Only gave it a 2 because of my Gorosensei agenda. Otherwise a 1 would be more fitting as nothing really has happened, and the cliffhanger of last chapter led to a stupid countdown that makes no fucking sense. Like why give the people that killed you 10 minutes to have the chance to destroy your message? If they're capable of killing Vegapunk, that means that these murderers are far from ordinary given that they would need to pass all the security measures to do so. Simply idiotic.

Nothing else was notable here besides a check up on Kizalu's mental health and Saturn summoning his superior Gorosensei members.

You retard, just as an example the first pages teach us that Gorosei can telepathically communicate and then we discover they can summon each other.
I'll tell you to learn to read but you're too stupid to so go touch grass, again.
And also Luffy fighting, setting up.
God, i pity you zoro boys incapable of enjoying One Piece due to your retarded agenda.

I feel Luffy should not be able to deal with them on his own and the giants. SH getting in he way makes them no different that scabbards.
Well they are no different than the scabbards in terms of they not powerful enough to deal with main bad guy.
Still that has always been the case the main bad guys for other pirate crew or admirals.
Like no one expect robin , Brook ,Ussop etc etc to show up and able to hurt yonko or admiral or even YC1 or 2 commander .

Personally I don't think the World building in One Piece was great or anything unless it's by standards of Shonen as there are many things One Piece lacks as a world, even in aspects that are established. Otherwise I concur wholeheartedly with your comment.

:suresure:

Remember that time Kizaru said 'should I go Akainu' and the admiral fanbase started talking for the next few years about how he could have ended the alliance?

Monster 5 vs Gorosei is really going to happen, reverse Sabaody is coming
They aren't fighting the Gorosei here ...

Zoro is already injured, panting and still hasn't beat Lucci.

Luffy has already been in his Nika form three times and it's about to expire soon again.

Sanji isn't in best condition either (getting kicked around by Kizaru).

None of the other characters here will get a shot at having a real fight against one of the endgame villains, that's basic storytelling logic. Half of them (Franky, Bonney etc.) are already on the Giant's ship btw.

And the biggest problem: Not even Nika-Luffy has figured out how to put a single scratch on Saturn. Now we have all five of them here.

They will escape to Elbaf and the ancient robot will get his time to shine and help them escape.

Just a thought, but what if part of Vegapunk’s broadcast visual video plan is to show real time of what’s happening in egghead island specifically the appearance of the five elder stars becoming monsters!! That would be a huge shocker to the world!!
that would be one of the greatest plot twist in one piece
