Mediocre characterisation - Kuma, Bonney, Vegapunk, Saturn, Sentomaru, Stussy and yes, Kizaru

Underwhelming antagonists - 5 awakened zoan gorosei trying to steal nuclear weapons to destroy the planet, one of which tortured Kuma and Bonney all their lives

None of this is compelling to you? Imo this arc has been more compelling than the series has been in like 10 years.

100% agreed. The only problem of this arc is the many breaks taken by Oda. But story-wise its great.

Kuma was just misery fetishization, Bonney is pedophile bait, Vegapunk is your average fictional genius that acts like a retard, Saturn has no characterization besides “muh insect,” no one gives a shit about Sentomaru and Stussy, Kizaru’s characterization will be average at best if this is it, etc.

And it’s crazy that despite that it’s till underwhelming. Again you’re just listing stuff without execution, instead of saying “5 MYTHICAL DEMONS WOOOOO” why not mention that half the Gorosei look like children’s Disney animals?

I think once Dragon leaves his desk and we get a full dragon flash back that's when we'll see fully flushed out revolutionary army flashback
