Yes i hate the fake deaths. Don't get me wrong, emotional reunions are nice and all but when nearly every character we thought to be dead returns the impact is lost. Which is funny because when i began watching One Piece i was equally shocked and fascinated by the sheer violence and stakes. It was the first 'cartoon' where i had to fear for the characters' lives. 😂
Oda won't address it. I wouldn't be surprised if he came up with Saul's survival 2 days before writing it in the story. He does those fake outs so he can write tearful reunions and emotionally baiting the audience. Those are nice and wholesome in moderation but Loda overdoes it. Every arc has at least one fake death or fake survival reveal at this point.

Wouldn't be surprised if he comes up with some kind of ''she has her own life and has found good friends that protect her'' lazy explanation. Loda doing Loda things😂
My post was only half serious but IF he does go this route it's for fan service. Remember, he said that the rooftop fight was basically fan service. Oda would've never written Zoro like this without the fans' demands in his mind.
Bellemere is doubtful, she's a sacrificial mother, those don't return.
