You know your argument is fucked when the only argument for this being Saint Shanks’s evil twin is “yeah the evil twin would be absolute garbage and evil Saint Shanks would be the best subversion in Shonen history, but Oda loves Saint Shanks for absolutely no reason so it won’t happen” lol.

Come on bruh. We all know what’s going on here. This is Saint Shanks. The evil twin argument is the most pathetic argument I’ve ever seen on WorstGen, and even the people who believe this is an evil twin know how pathetic it is.

I’ve said it repeatedly. If Oda makes Saint Shanks evil, he is a top 3 mangaka of all time whether we like it or not. The sheer balls to bait the dumbest of humanity for 30 years, and then subvert that bait by making Saint Shanks evil is truly the stuff of legend.

Expecially Luffy's fruit being a human-human fruit will not be planned at the start.
Oda just realized he was limited with the rubber fruit and had to made up something to make Luffy's abilities crazier

Most likely pranks and shanks are two different persons .

Only thing worth noting is oda not showing us the left side of the face - where shanks has claw mark from BB.

Perhaps trying to build some suspense.


However, there is something no one is talking about.

There are two ways this can roll assuming Pranks is real.

Scenario 1- If Pranks is real and he looks exactly like shanks then if Pranks would do something bad at Elbaf then for that goofy naive Luffy, Shanks did it.

If this happens, then there is a possibility of Oda building some sort of misunderstanding between SHs and RHPs and then a clash/ fight between them.


Scenario 2 - we get Pranks vs Luffy and Shanks vs BB

This "Shanks" once again has no visible scar, back then some thought that maybe it was a mistake by Oda, but in this chapter we see again no scar.

So the missing scar was never a mistake and this "Shanks" is a completely different Shanks and not the real one.

Scar is a legit argument. But that might also be a trick of Oda.
if he wanted to make clear this isn't Shanks in this chapter he would show the left side of his face so he's keeping it ambiguous on purpose

It would be cool if it was Shanks, but it's not.

It makes no sense to go to Elbaf, then get out, then come back.
"But they said he should stay out of politics."
It's just the basic system of government, where the judicial and executive branches are separate, like in Japan, so they don't usually interfere with each other's functions.
There's the formal language stuff from the Japs.

Honestly, there are so many arguments against it, I dont know why people still bother with it.
It's shitty, yeah, pretty shitty.
But let's accept it.

Oda is a fucking retard for keeping this god awful suspense choosing to not reveal his full face
